As we have more and more evidence that there is no link between cases and hospitalizations any more, the panic keeps increasing. Why?

Ontario likely recording close to 50k cases a day and has 190 people in ICU. At some point government needs to stop pandering to the panic merchants and keep it moving.

Think while cases are increasing rapidly, hospitalizations are not following the same trend. We'll see where we are really at come mid January.

Think we are venturing into endemic stage.

You've had the opportunity to get vaxxed up. Masks are still required. There's ways to protect yourself.

Be safe

Province reports ICU bed availability, it’s increased this month. We are nowhere near a collapse:

Funny thing is ICU usage was above 200 in August and literally no one noticed because cases were low. Everything is being driven by case reporting now, including media and public panic. They should’ve stopped reporting case numbers the moment vaccines were widely available.

Also ample proof that new variant is milder and that immune response remains robust (both from vaccination and/or recent infection)

TORONTO -- Ontario will push back the return to school to Wednesday, according to a senior government source.

Classes were set to resume as early as Monday in much of the province, but critics called for clarity on the back-to-school plan in light of the spike in COVID-19 cases.

The source says the province will deploy 3,000 more HEPA filter units to school boards in addition the 70,000 it has already rolled out, and will also provide N95 masks to staff.

The source also says seating capacity in concert venues, arenas and theatres will be limited to 1,000 people or 50 per cent capacity, whichever is less, starting Friday.

The changes are expected to be announced this afternoon by Ontario's chief medical officer of health.

The news comes as the province set a record Thursday with 13,807 COVID-19 infections and a surge in hospitalizations.

Just got my booster. Finding a booking was kinda hard, but I was in and out in under half an hour :ehh:

Anyone having trouble getting a booking , I'd say just get on the website early and check multiple locations throughout the day. Something will pop up eventually
