The US Is the goat. Money is better, jobs are better, weather is better , sports are better, travelling around is easier, affordable and so much black folks. I remember when I went to dallas I was like :damn:, you go to these universities and its like a damn city within in a city.

They have all that and the people are miserable af. Makes everything else almost useless. Coming from someone whos lived there among other countries(Canada also).

Technically you're still paying for that "free healthcare" through your high taxes. Imagine if you are healthy person and you only used the healthcare system as you need it, paying for yourself? The amount that you paid taxes through "free healthcare" you could have saved major $$$ too.

I'm not even a six figure coli breh and I just took a look at my paystub

35% is shaved off every pay :what:

and we're happy? :mjlol:

past tense, but based on my experience, US is more stressful. ONTARIO financially rapes you MOSTLY in GTA. Other provinces are not as bad. A friend in New Brunswick says it's cheap there, and there's a growing black(African) community there, and more immigrants from Africa going that way. I think the problem is alot of ya'll dont want to let go of the GTA and you think it represents all of Canada. Places change, people have to move and make other cities like how T.O. used to be.

because they are utter garbage, in america you can leave super expensive cities and go to charlotte, orlando, memphis etc. and still be around people that look like you

Who wants to live in new brunswick :scust:, these other provinces aren't made for black folks. Yeah no offense for immigrants from africa they have no ties, no friends, family, grandparents etc. and don't know how racist those communities are, but anywhere is better than where they are coming from for the most part. I know tons of nigerians and they will even go to yukon and regina and ish.

This is the majority of canada as a black person when you settle - https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/repentigny-police-black-community-population-1.6140091

there is a reason why 95% of black folks live in canada live in toronto, ottawa, montreal, calgary, edmonton, halifax

US isn't more stressful. Every black person I know in america is enjoying their life.

You can probably count all black mps, mpps, mayors, and ceos of major companies in canada on your hand and toes

To YOU

and for you to assume Africans have no ties in other provinces and cities is ignorant and lacks critical thinking. Based on what you say, you cant even live in most US cities.

You have no family ties in St Louis, or Denver and dont know how racist alot of these cites can be. I'm using your own logic. YOu sound ignorant right now. Alot of you who only know TO talk this romanticized view of stateside and still stuck in puberty when it comes to having a comprehensive view of how life works in alot of these places. I've lived in a few cities on both countries, I know what I'm talking about. The real problem is alot of you cant adapt outside of Brampton or Scarborough.

Nah not ignorant, if you are a new immigrant especially coming as an express entry applicant you are young, educated and your parents are usually back home. Like I said I know many nigerians and other afrians who just came to canada in the past 1-5 years, same story for most. I was working with this nigerian dude and he moved to Regina with his wife and kid life is good for him, he had no ties here or obligations.

And you're wrong I have family and friends all over the USA. One of my closest friends growing up his family moved to Atlanta dude got a scholarship to Georgia for track and is now a Dr. if his family never left canada his story wouldn't have turned out like that.

Romanticized view? :mjlol: breh I'm 36 I've been all over the world, just because you didn't have an enjoyable experience doesn't mean that most do.

Adapt? I've never lived in brampton and haven't lived in scarborough since I was 17

Let me ask you this breh

anyways breh ain't going to go back and forth but :salute:

There are Africans who have been in Canada 1st and 2nd generation as long as you have all the same, and have family in both countries as well as family ties in TO. They can adapt and live good. Many have even lived in the US serveral years and picked Canada, I'm talking people with dual US/Canada citizenship.

You only know your own cultural experience, and you type very ignorant about the experience of others. Go live in St Louis or Fort Worth for 5 years. Hell go to Orlando for 4 years and come back and talk.

I never said where you live is perfect(no where is), but for someone like you who has ONLY lived in GTA you have a very rose colored unrealistic view of LIVING(not visiting) in America.

To each their own, but you can not assume what's bad for you is bad for everyone else, and whats good for you is not good for everyone else. If US is better for you , cool, but that doesn't mean Canada is bad for the next black man.

I haven’t yet but know people who have. It’s a budget airline so anything extra will cost but the deals are real. Would do it for a domestic flight.

IDK breh, I’m not one to argue Canada’s a hell hole and that’s it impossible to succeed, but it’s okay to contrast life in other places.

Of course States isn’t heaven, but it’s definitely possible to flourish here. I have family ties in States, and know multiple Canadians who moved here for work. Majority are doing well and are well established.

Aside from Canada, I’ve lived in Africa, Middle East, Turkey and travelled plenty. It’s not a fair comparison because the States is richest country in world and far bigger than Canada, but if you are university educated here and/or work in specialized field in demand, you can find affordability that isn’t possible in Canada’s biggest cities. That also depends on region/part of the States too. I’d definitely rather live in Southeast US than Canadian maritimes.
