We reopened too fast twice already. Why do it again?
How would opening now be considered fast? It’s not an exaggeration to say Ontario’s cities are the only place in the entire West where restaurants and gyms are still shut down.

Every major metro in the country has loosened restrictions except in Ontario. A lot of things they claim would doom Ontario have been done without a hit elsewhere. Schools and patios *never* closed in Vancouver.

Cases are on the exact same trajectory as last summer, when we had way looser restrictions, and with a mass vaccination campaign. One dose provides considerable protection against serious cases.

Just look at when the UK started loosening restrictions using the same one dose strategy, it was back in March with around 30 percent of population with first dose. They’ve had single digit deaths for a month now in a population double Canada’s. At some point cases don’t matter if hospitals are fine and deaths flat.
