I just feel like comedy Thor and Gorr don’t mesh well.
Killing Gods either needs to be Clash of Titans over the top or something more emotiona considering it touches on ideas of faith, belief and man’s relationship to higher deities.
you really that surprised after the success of Ragnarok & JoJo Rabbit? everyone loved this guy a week ago it feels like, now people are turning on him for a movie that hasnt even been released yet
I would say I got GoTG vibes with the last Thor movie and I'm getting that with this one too. Taika feels very James Gunn-lite in my personal opinionyou really that surprised after the success of Ragnarok & JoJo Rabbit? everyone loved this guy a week ago it feels like, now people are turning on him for a movie that hasnt even been released yet
Idk if it’s so much the shift. These things are inevitable because the glaring problems the first time around don’t get noticed till the second time around. It happens all the time. The issues surrounding Thor ragnarok gets doubled down in the sequel because they are going back to the same well but the well was dirty the first time around. Cheap jokes and cheap gimmicks. It’s the same thing that happened with guardians 2 and Deadpool 2. The same gimmicks don’t hit the same because they are familiar, but now that you are seeing it a second time it doesn’t hold up because it worked only because it was surprising and different not great and different.Yeah. That shift on him has been crazy.
He let the "he saved the Thor franchise" get to his head
Whose review should I use to prop up my agendaDouble Toasted Review
Korey didn't really like it, compared it to Ant-Man in regards to being too silly, gave it a low matinee
Martin loved it, said its his favorite movie of the year, gave it a high full price
Both say there's something wrong with Phase 4

I can use them any damn time they help me validate my desiresThis is your prayer every Marvel release.
Wow, RT scores are everything now?
And you can't use the score as some sort of indicator now and at the same time invalidate previous scores. They either are all accurate or none of them are.
Good cam of post credit scene.

Yeah. That shift on him has been crazy.

Yeah, it's a credit to the studio a phenomenal streak. But still there are movies that I think are absolute clunkers (The Last Jedi) that got over 90% positive reviews. Doesn't mean I'm right and they are wrong the score is the consensus of reviewers, I just didn't agree with the vast majority on that movie. So the MCU having clunkers in your opinion doesn't mean they deserved a lower RT score.
And NWH broke box office records and Marvel Studios was mainly responsible on the creative side despite only seeing 25% of the box office. And Dr. Strange 2 would be the highest grossing movie this year if not for the Maverick phenomenon which is a one off and will be hard to duplicate. The luster is still there. lol
I feel you but at the same time MCU Thor is still a tragic character in spite of the humor
Imagine having the week Thor had at the beginning of Ragnarok.
Escapes imprisonment from some demon
Returns to Asgard to find Loki running it. A few minutes later his fukkin father dies
Before his father's mist(?) is even completely gone Hela walks out of a portal and destroys his hammer
Hela goes on to destroy Asgard and 98% of the population
Thor puts the remaining Asgardians on a ship. MOMENTS later they run into Thanos. Thanos kills the remaining Asgardians AND his brother
Thor misses a legitimate shot at killing Thanos, Thanos erases half the universe
It's shrouded in jokes yea but it don't get more tragic than Thor
