I just feel like comedy Thor and Gorr don’t mesh well.

Killing Gods either needs to be Clash of Titans over the top or something more emotiona considering it touches on ideas of faith, belief and man’s relationship to higher deities.
I hear the last :45 minutes shyt gets appropriately dark.

I feel you but at the same time MCU Thor is still a tragic character in spite of the humor

Imagine having the week Thor had at the beginning of Ragnarok.

Escapes imprisonment from some demon

Returns to Asgard to find Loki running it. A few minutes later his fukkin father dies

Before his father's mist(?) is even completely gone Hela walks out of a portal and destroys his hammer

Hela goes on to destroy Asgard and 98% of the population

Thor puts the remaining Asgardians on a ship. MOMENTS later they run into Thanos. Thanos kills the remaining Asgardians AND his brother

Thor misses a legitimate shot at killing Thanos, Thanos erases half the universe

It's shrouded in jokes yea but it don't get more tragic than Thor :russ:
And many people cover up pain and sorrow with jokes. Ask many a comedian.

Precisely look at everything he has been through yet the severity of things won’t resonate with audiences because of the goofball humour. Don’t get me wrong Marvel has their formula for the cinematic universe and so far it has worked for them. I just see wasted potential, Thor truly could have evolved into the great king that Odin envisioned from Thor 1. Remember Rune King Thor is meant to surpass Odin in every way power and wisdom included. This Thor just comes across as…stupid. Then again not like the Cinematic universe touched on the Odin force, Thor 1 slightly touched on Runes but didn’t explain in detail.

The film could still be an enjoyable watch either way.

George selling to Disney and recommending Kathleen Kennedy to lead Lucasfilm was a joke. :snoop:

I would've picked him to direct future deadpool movies, but not starwars. It's not that he's trash, just using his talents on the wrong characters. MCU works best in a Russo bro's style. This like when i heard they wanted Tarentino to direct Star Trek. we don't need a bunch of Vulcans dropping n words in space.
It's about matchups,
