the reviews are disappointing, damn. I’ll check it out soon and form my own opinion but it really feels like the MCU is losing some of its luster

As great as the Infinity Saga was, especially the buildup towards the ending, most of the movies were mid to above average with a couple of weak joints.


They need to stop bullshyttin and Bring on the X-Men (but don't be campy or corny with them). Treat them with a lil more serious tone and tackle the issues of them being rejects. Magas might get mad at some of the messaging , but they'll buy the tickets.

I just feel like comedy Thor and Gorr don’t mesh well.

Killing Gods either needs to be Clash of Titans over the top or something more emotiona considering it touches on ideas of faith, belief and man’s relationship to higher deities.

In that case it will be what story he thinks will draw in audiences without familiarity as a crutch.

I hate to say I told you so, when I saw the trailer I already knew what was up. Marvel has strayed far from who Thor is the character is hardly recognisable if not for the aesthetic aspect you couldn’t even call him Thor. Hemsworth seems to love doing comedies and with Taika added in its comedy overdrive. I enjoyed Ragnarock but if you read the comics you know it was meant to be a tragic epic and culmination of the character of Thor and then leading to his evolution into King Thor. No Odin Force, no Rune King Thor despite there being a platform to tell these stories.

I feel you but at the same time MCU Thor is still a tragic character in spite of the humor

Returns to Asgard to find Loki running it. A few minutes later his fukkin father dies

Before his father's mist(?) is even completely gone Hela walks out of a portal and destroys his hammer

Hela goes on to destroy Asgard and 98% of the population

Thor puts the remaining Asgardians on a ship. MOMENTS later they run into Thanos. Thanos kills the remaining Asgardians AND his brother

Thor misses a legitimate shot at killing Thanos, Thanos erases half the universe

It's shrouded in jokes yea but it don't get more tragic than Thor
