If you still grinding and learning I salute you.

:salute:

This is around about the time when people really start to fall off or get angry with fighting games because they feel like they have everything understood or know how to play.

yeah I'm still grinding, matter of fact gonna be playing more than ever. really had some good sets in the battle hub last night, though I ran into a cammy that throttled me but I watched the replays and am working on my game with Guile.

but this is all part of the journey, gotta get your ass beat until you eventually are the one handing out ass whoppins.

I'm playing less but that's because I watched the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies after seeing 1 at the barbershop. I forgot I never played the Spider-Man game even though I bought it when it came out.

I'm still getting some reps in player battles and in training mode. I switched to Chun-Li and she's kinda nuts but hard to use. Now I'm seeing people make videos about how good she is :mjlol:

This list is weird cause I feel like Dee Jay's damage output isn't being taken into account here.
Damage output ain't the only metric tho. Zangief has ridiculous damage output and he's the worst character:pachaha:

Dee Jay is a great character, arguably top 5, but he lacks one thing that Juri, Luke, and Ken excel in. They have strong Cr MK's into Drive Rush

Dee Jay has a good Cr mk, but there's the issue of it knocking down so there's no Cr mk->Drive Rush bullshyt like there is with the characters I just mentioned.

Now Dee Jay is built to be a heavy mix character so there that to consider but in the current meta, with an under developed Dee Jay mix, Juri/Luke/Ken do a better job of getting offense started than Dee Jay

Lily and Dhalsim disagree with this.
Lily and Gief both share the bottom to me and neither are really worse than each other

But Dhalsim:mjlol:

As a Dhalsim main that saw this same movie in SF5 you nikkas still ain't learned your lesson:dead: he started SF5 as the "worst" character too. 6 years later, with relatively minimal changes, nikkas bytched about him being broken:mjlol:

Sim is a pilot's character that takes time to develop because he's so hard to play effectively. He has his flaws in 6 and we can discuss them, but I promise you that nikka is busted:mjlol:

It's hard at the moment for me to determine how high he is exactly but I promise you he's far from the worst character in the game. Nikkas really just don't understand how the character works and apply their character's perspectives to him

Dee Jay offsets that with feints, has midscreen mixups and crossup moves and can win fireball battles against everyone in the game except probably luke. Not to mention he hits like a truck, has a near instantaneous drive rush that goes fullscreen, and has frametraps out the ass.

I initially had him as top 3 but I think he's the pure top 1 in the game. Luke's frame data may be more favorable but you get a chance to play against luke for the most part, dee jay's hitting you for 40% with even 1 bar

That's all true but none of it changes the fact that Dee Jay's Cr mk causing knockdown is a flaw in this system and current meta. The thing about heavy mix characters is they can often be victims of what their potential says about them

Juri/Luke/Ken's damage is front loaded because they have Cr mk into drive rush which is prime currency in this game. Sure Dee Jay hits like a truck, but he has to work that much harder to get in to cause that damage in the first place. He has the best drive rush in the game, but a raw drive rush is still a raw drive rush:russ: and nikkas are getting better at checking those everyday

Again heavy mix characters can be victims of their own potential. In my last post I said damage can't be the only metric but neither can mix. If mix were the only thing that mattered El Fuerte would be the best character in SF4:russ: Rankings are based on how all these elements work in tandem. I personally have Dee Jay at #2 behind Juri but the thing is I have Dee Jay there based on what he potentially can do. I have Juri at #1 based on what she does

Dee Jay is great, and a specialist will make him look terrifying but when it comes to what currently works in SF6 as far as getting damage and advantage, Juri/Luke/Ken do it better:manny: Not TOO much better in the case of Luke and Ken, but Juri is in a class of her own

It’s not even the dashes. It Juri normals beat mines out(I main manon I guess) and the dive into pin wheel gets me everytime. And I’m still learning what is safe/unsafe with Cam hooliganism
What I found with Juri you just gotta learn patience and back up...don't even dash just back up. Homegirls dive is easily punishable especially with modern controls.

Cammy is just light strings to cancel a lot of her bullshyt. Next to Kim she's just an annoying spam machine, and Modern makes it easier because it's the same 2 or 3 strings they do.

I main Jamie so I'm always fighting uphill 90% of the time so I feel you breh :francis:
