#ConsistencyCops, i have always said an active Ward was the best fighter outside of Floyd. So had Ward fought an average opponent he would have been #1 to me, this just makes it so others shouldnt argue as well.

I hope people dont drop Kov too much. He still deserves to be top 5 ish PFP to me.

When you fight the best you should maintain your spot.

ward movement was poison to kovalev right hands. kovalev has to snake his way into range to steal you with his right hand and ward movement means he can never come into range to throw a right hand.

in a rematch ward has to try to stay way out and jab. kovalev never coming into range to throw a right hand probably does not beat ward in a jab contest.

See how he even faints that jab too and Kovalev is stopped...not much but enough to hesitate. And that time in itself buys Ward an opening and opportunity. Straight mathematical out there.

just dont see how anyone can say with a straight face that the winner of last night's fight should still be ranked lower than GGG. my god.

the fight was debatable, I have no problem with people saying Kovalev won. the winner of last night's fight is deserving of the #1 ranking. also, there is a world of difference between a 160lber dominating a 147lber and Kovalev dominating B-Hop, something no one has ever done that I recall.

To be honest, the winner AND loser should be ranked ahead of GGG at this point.

This happens all of the time in boxing. I've always said I felt that's why so many people thought JMM beat Pac in the third fight.
