Didn't have Kovalev winning a single rd after the 6th (scored the 10th even)

Kov fought an extremely one dimensional fight and just couldn't adjust after Ward took away his counter right hand...by circling to Kov's left and and throwing hooks behind the jab instead of the right....Ward defended well against the few times Kov tried to throw the left hook.

Ward has a much easier time in a rematch i believe.

The 10/10 is wrong and some of the middle can flip but that's about it.

why was the 10/10 wrong? neither didnt do much but I felt Ward won. Paulie obviously thought that round was a draw...which I dont have much issue with because Kov did land a couple of shots.

I think the fight coulda gone either way to be honest and would understand if the judges gave it kovalev but how in the mightiest fukks do you not give Ward props. He's been on and off since 2012 with injuries personal problems and so so competition so ring rust will be there. He moves up in weight to face Kovalev who is an absolute killer and deserves to be in the p4p and imo probably beats every other LHW. Mind you I don't think Ward was even a big SMW if you look at his rehydration weight so going up to fight kovalev was a big risk. He goes down in the fight gets up, keeps composure and adapts to make it a fight. A friggin jab staggered him so you know that power is real. In this day and age where we yearn the best fighting the best and where fights like GGG Canelo among others falls through these 2 stepped up. Folks wanted a fighter to challenge himself S.O.G moved up. Folks wanted a warrior S.O.G got back up after being knocked down and gave kov a fight

I missed most of the first 5 rounds last night trying to find a good link. From what I heard from the HBO crew it sounded like Kovalev was winning most of the rounds. I thought some of the posters here sounded a little bias towards Ward

I just watched the full fight, I have Ward winning 117 to 111

I dont know what fight Lederman and Lampley were watching. Ward out boxed him almost every round. In the future ill trust you brehs here over the HBO broadcasting team

Just one more thing, those punch stat totals seem a little funny to me

Ward was slippin all kinds of pumches, bad the jab going real good through out the fight, and punished Kovalevs body (pause)

Ward has the better reflexes and is even more intelligent then Kovalev. He used those two things to his advantage. Great fight from Ward and respect Kovalev too, hes the 2nd best. Id rather see him fight Stevenson next instead of a rematch with Ward

Remember that Kov had the belts, when you going against champ ....you have to win convincingly.

I don't think anyone has a problem here with someone saying it could go either way
Problem are these dumb casuals who are crying robbery on internet and really feel themselves just cause they watched a boxing fight first time since May vs Pac or Canelo vs Golovkin. Most of them probably didn't even see a Kovalev or Ward fight before, they only saw highlights from what they diagnosed that Kovalev is an action fighter, monster puncher while Ward is some fakkit who doesn't knock people out so he must be weak.
plus I doN't say that all of them or most of them but imo a significant part of them are also racist and backed by that agenda too openly or hidden

Fight delivered for me, best possible outcome.

Would've been a huge letdown if it ended up being one sided and one guy's Aura got shattered as a result.
