also, I called a round where Lederman gave to Kovalev, the 10th maybe? it was a round I thought Ward clearly won and Lederman gave it to Kovalev and I was like

Lederman has always been biased to a degree where I almost think he is racist....because it sticks out in my mind that a lot of times he was against the black fighter. the only time he is partial to the black guy is when he is fighting another black guy.

That 10th round stood out to me too
Even lampley wanted to give that to ward lol

nah I have to disagree , hes got nothing to be ashamed about.... Kov is a great boxer, but Ward is elite.... his style might not be fan friendly but from a purists point of view there are very few boxers at his level...

his ring IQ is extraordinary ...... one of the few boxers who can make adjustments round by round

we just saw the difference between a great boxer and an all time great boxer

one thing I will say to anyone saying Ward didnt win, Ward's bodywork was tremendous. Kovalev did good bodywork too, but Ward was superior and if the judges counted that, then its a Ward victory. kinda reminds me a lil of when Shane beat Oscar at 154. Oscar was winning easy early and Shane just worked him with the bodyshots. bodyshots just dont get much credit as they should sometimes.

Ward's was a subtle domination. My posts in this thread point it out. Kovalev looked tired late in the fight. he lost control of the distance, was getting pushed back, and was eating hella body shots. what Ward was doing wasnt eye-popping but he was giving Kovalev some work in there.

The words "subtle" and "domination" dont go together

Kov lost the fight when it became apparent that he could not cut the ring off.He let Dre circle away from his power and get his "lara" on when needed.

ward started to break kov mentally imo

he was out boxing him, beating him to the body, and slipping a lot of his punches.

kov looked frustrated as the fight went on.

Yea that was the round where Max said he disagreed and reminded the audience again that there are some close rounds on Lederman's card that could have been scored for Ward

So the power/total punch landed advantage Kovalev had totally came from the 2nd round.I dare nikkas to keep saying this is a robbery....you score fights by rounds ...not who looked prettier at the end.
