As we already that Hori is making a Border Break themed custom flight stick (is that what they are called?), but it has not been revealed that they will need at least 3,000 pre-orders by May 2nd to begin production. Seems fair, if you can’t sell 3,000, is it even worth making?

The Border Break custom HORI controller is set to cost 18,334 yen ($168.67 USD) and will ship sometime in 2018. You can pre-order the stick on the official HORI store, the pre-orders cease on May 2nd at 10:00am JST. If you pre-order the custom HORI stick, you will also get a original mech paint color with the HORI logo for Border Break. Sadly this is only (so far) for the Japanese market. Border Break and the HORI custom controller are only being promoted and released within Japan.

SEGA’s Border Break Custom HORI PS4 Joystick will only get made if they get 3,000 pre-orders

I truly believe that Sonic Mario crossover coming soon.

Sonic games just aren’t cut for today’s gaming
Unless you wanna to the Sonic Mania route

They need to completely revamp the style of Sonic , nobody wants to pay $60 to run fast

Edge lord Sonic has done so much to ruin that franchise.

SEGA has released a new trailer for Shenmue I & II, as well as new screenshots and revealed an exclusive poster and release date. The game releases soon, August 21, 2018, and both European and American versions come with a two sided poster and a reversible cover. As revealed yesterday, save data will carry over from I to II, however save data from II will not carry over to the upcoming III. I do hold out hope that III will at least have some way to check for a save file from the remasters and give some sort of bonus for players.

PlayStation 4 | Xbox One | PC

SEGA has also released a FAQ page that answers some burning questions fans had about the games. Shenmue II will be based off of the Xbox version of the game, featuring snapshots, filters and texture mip-maps to improve anti-aliasing. Xbox graphical differences from the Dreamcast version will be present. Shenmue Dojo has a handy comparison guide.

New features include Japanese and English speech in both games, the aforementioned saves carrying over from I to II, save anywhere in both games, HD resolution rendering, updated UI, new post processing effects, full controller and mouse and keyboard support, and achievements on all platforms. Also, you will be able to control Ryo with the analog stick. Gameplay will be 16:9, however cutscenes will be 4:3 for Shenmue and 4:3 letterbox for Shenmue II. All arcade games will be playable on the new releases, so breathe easy OutRun fans!

File this one under: “The Japanese get the coolest stuff!” SEGA of Japan has released a new trailer for the upcoming Shenmue I & II release for PlayStation 4, and in addition to the footage we got the reveal of a special collector’s edition of the game. Like the Japanese Sonic Mania Plus release, this edition will include the game in a handsome box with a special two CD soundtrack. The soundtrack will feature music from both games. Also included will be a two sided poster and, if it is anything like the other regions, a reversible cover. The special edition will retail for ¥5,990, just a little over $50, however sites like Amiami or Amazon Japan should mark it down a little.

While the game releases this month to the Americas and Europe, Japan will have to wait until November 22, 2018. You can pre-order the game now at Amiami for ¥5,300 and at Amazon Japan for ¥6,469, which includes bonus digital smart device wallpaper downloads.

SEGA has released the second part in their “What is Shenmue?” video series, this time focusing on the characters of both games and their place in the story. Ryo, Shenhua, Lan Di and many others are highlighted. We suspect Goro Mihashi was not mentioned because SEGA wants to keep him a surprise. Narrated by Ryo’s english voice actor Corey Marshall, the video series is a nice introduction to the series for new players, and a reminder for those who played the Dreamcast originals years ago. You can see the second part above, and the first part can be seen here. Shenmue I & II releases August 21st on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

SEGA has released the third part of their What is Shenmue? series of videos, this time focusing on the mini-games and combat found in both Shenmue I & II. Seasoned Shenmue fans know just how packed these games are with mini-games, from classic SEGA arcade games like Space Harrier, forklift races, duck races, lucky hit, arm wrestling, darts, pool and much more. Combat, meanwhile, is just as fun with Quick Timer Events and a full fighting engine. Shenmue I & II releases next week on August 21st. Pre-ordering the physical edition gets you a two sided poster and a reversible cover.

@Knicksman20, you gotta tag a breh when you have new shenmue info!!
:salute:thanks for the update
that japanese release looks mighty interesting.
add to that the fact that the language of the game is obviously japanese which in my opinion was 100 times better than the english version (which wasn't that bad as well).
i always said though that if they had kept shenmue 1 in japanese with english subtitles than that would've made an already incredible package,
just that bit more special. shenmue 2 on the dreamcast with the japanese language just felt right imo.
cannot wait to play shenmue without loading times!!
