SEGA News Bits: Dreamcast Games Are Coming Back Online – Its Still Thinking?

"Our beloved SEGA Dreamcast was known to be the first console to promote online gaming as a feature thanks to having a modem packed into every console. We got a pretty decent array of online playable games, but sadly after SEGA pulled the life support from the Dreamcast, these beloved games went offline. But now they are being resurrected and on this episode of the SEGA News Bits we look at all the Dreamcast games playable online, Dreamcast games that might come back soon and talk about some of the ones that are still offline. Let us know what online Dreamcast games you played back in the day and which ones you wish where back online in the comments below!

If you enjoy our SEGA News Bits segments and want to support us: Give us a sub and give this video a thumbs up so it shows up on more like-minded fans YouTube recommendations. You know, how that YouTube algorithm is."

I have noticed that a lot of classic gaming YouTubers/game journalist tend to be Nintendo fanboys. Acting like the Genesis only had Sonic & Streets of Rage 2 :francis: all the while acting like jrpgs were setting the streets on fire when it was a niche genre in the States:stopitslime:. Some even be shytting on the music the system (Genesis) produced:hhh:. That right there tells me they didn't play on the console back in the day and they only played the titles via emulation which tends to ruin the music

:yeshrug: As a Youtuber/Twitch Streamer, I admit whole heatedly I was a SEGA fanboy in the 90s. If I can find my streaming equipment, I might go back to streaming old Dreamcast games and talking shyt again :takedat:

Check out this amazing Hori Border Break branded controller

Mech games like Virtual-On and Border Break need their own controllers to make the user feel more engaged with the game. Sure, you could play the games just fine on a regular PlayStation 4 controller, but why not increase the awesomeness with a mech like controller? Don’t worry, Hori’s got you covered with their newly (a few days ago) announced PlayStation 4 Border Break controller.

There hasn’t been a release date for the controller or the free-to-play Border Break PlayStation 4 software. All we know is that its tended to release sometime in 2018. But according to 4Gamer, we should be getting more Border Break news during April 14-15th, at the upcoming SEGA Fes 2018. So come back to the blog and we’ll keep you updated as always.

"Just now Shenmue 1 & 2 has been announced for remaster on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Details are just breaking now so bare with us as we update this story but looks like the much requested port is finally a dream come true for long term fans!

The Steam page has launched, which reveals the game will have an updated user interface, a choice of modern or classic controls and Japanese and English audio (this will be the first time Shenmue I will be playable in Japanese in the west). The game is set to release in 2018."
