I disagree. The bw naturally hair is the afro, so if we want to support the natural movement properly we have to start appreciating afros and all their stylistic variations on bw imo.

I can't show you straight hair from a big chop b/c big chops are done to get rid of straight hair. You said you don't like short hair which is not the truth. i see 1-2 healthy natural hair style for about every 50 weaves and fried perms and braid extentions

i know you can't change anyones opinion on this hair stuff, it's almost like a religion; but i dont have to pretend to accept it.

I dont pretend about my views on relaxing or accept them at all. If they ask my opinion, input, or advice about going natural or relaxers I dont hide my views. I also really hate when moms give their kids relaxers or weaeves. The adults should know that its not the best option, and they still have a choice to use it or not in their own heads but the kids dont really have a choice even though their mom knows that stuff is no good.

yeah, this all sounds well and good, but that's not how it works in the real world. you cant raise black boys around nothing but permed and weaved black women for generations, then expect him to be attracted to natural hair. it's not a realistic goal.

and i'm not convinced that it's natural to like women with 1-3 inches of hair. men are hard wired to find long hair attractive

...just like black women (raised in those same environments) are increasingly growing to accept and love black hair in all it states, the men should too (or at least the men who are always crying about weave and relaxers). Otherwise you are just a hypocrite.
