I've had a strobe for years but still don't know how to use it.

You better get on learning some off camera flash

I actually just updated a bunch of my lighting equipment. Got a Godox nano transmitter, a Godox TT685II, and a godox x1r receiver to control an old 430exii of mine. I also redid my whole studio setup as well. Been meaning to post pics of it.

Is it offensive to ask for raw images?

I'd rather edit my own wedding photos

No, absolutely not.

Widely debated with no clear consensus.
I'm on the side of not liking it. My standard agreement states we own the raw footage and don't transfer any of it.
I have had some high level clients require the raws though and I just amend the agreement.
I see it like going to a restaurant, ordering a meal, and when it gets to your table saying "you know what on second thought, take this back and just bring me all the ingredients and I'll just cook this myself or get someone else to cook it".
I haven't run into that problem in years though. All the details like that get sorted out before we take a deposit or roll a single camera.

That said, your case is unique and I personally would easily understand it and actually welcome the fact that all I had to do was shoot.

How you like it?

Been playing with it along with some other new lighting gear i picked up the other day. While I do really like the small form factor for location shooting, I'm finding that at home and in the studio that I am wishing that I could control it via an app on my phone. That's the one thing that I would add to it so far. It's annoying taking test shots of myself and then having to run back to the camera to make adjustments, especially when I have it on a tripod mounted in portrait mode.

Just got back from NEAIC (Astro Imaging Conference) in NY. This stuff always blows me away coming from the photography side. Won a DayStar 480E - 80mm Refractor Telescope in a raffle! Bought a Celestron Eyepiece and Filter Kit - 2", a William Optics 48mm Wide T-Ring for Canon EOS-R Mirrorless Cameras, and a Explore Scientific iEXOS-100 HD PMC-Eight Equatorial Tracker System. Didn't get a dedicated camera or computer yet, gonna use my EOS-R to start out with imaging. I got a lot to learn as I know a small amount about this stuff and even less about using it. So far been using my Seestar S50 smart telescope, everything is automated, makes it easy. Down the rabbit hole............
