My cousin is graduating from Parris Island next month and im thinking about coppin the Sony 70-200 but im not really sure how close or far I’ll be from him. I have a 24-105 so I think that might be good enough but I don’t know. I’ve been wanting to get one but I don‘t need it at all. The f4 is about half the price of the f2.8. I think I’m leaning more towards the f4 right now.

It should be good enough esp if the lens or your body has image stabilization, just bump up the iso.

Your gear is good enough. :ehh:

If anything why not just rent for the day :yeshrug:

There is a Holi festival this weekend. Has anyone ever participated in one of these? How did you protect your camera? I want to shoot the event but I don't want to ruin my camera either.

The F4 will got the job done but Go ahead and rent the 70-200 or 85 1.2, should be no more than $30 The separation those lenses give will be way more noticeable than shooting at F4.

Probably a plastic bag and some prayer
Just head to the camera store and grab one of those disposable covers and use a lens cap.

Get an underwater rig... Completely waterproof and will open you up to shooting under water and in rain with no problems

The cover worked well. I didn't get any dust on my camera. People were actively throwing colors on anyone with a clean shirt. I will probably bring two cameras next time since it was difficult getting wide shots.
