to the motherland :wow:
can't wait to see what you snap out there

tried out the 50 1.2 GM this weekend along with a7iv; not a fan of 50mm so much these days but damn was it smooth.
I picked up the 50 1.4 on Friday but tried out the 50 1.2 on Sunday because a guy with me had it.

Not sure if there was a big enough difference for the price. I'm happy with the 1.4 and it's light as well as having the additional physical lock.

I thought about getting a refractor last year, but I did the  at the price for a new mount (have a SA2i), guide scope, guide camera, and refractor.

Ironically, I ended up probably spending the same money on two new Z6ii's, gimbal, drone, and a few lenses :mjlol:

Gonna try to get some landscape astro pics this Milky Way season

This was my 1st time seeing any of this equipment at an expo, friend invited me, prices had me like :damn: . Not gonna lie the images I seen had me like :whew:. That Seestar S50 unit had me as a entry level way to get into this, gonna snag that and also see what I can get with my EOS R in an open field away from the city.

Sony and these damn cfexpress type A cards :mjlol:

Depending on the framerates you plan on using the most, don't even bother with getting them.

:hubie:

I got a small one just in case I wanted to shoot 120fps in 4K on my FX6... Guess how many times I've shot in that fps and resolution in 2 years?

:unimpressed:

I did spend a grip on the larger SDXC cards tho. I have 2 256GBs in my A74 and I have a 512GB in my FX6 and an 80GB CF Express.

I need to replace my Z6. Been contemplating the Z9 but I really don't want to come off that kind of money. If the Z8 isn't over 4k I may buy it instead.

Anything over $4500 really wouldn’t make sense cause it would be too close to Z9 territory. My z6ii been doing fine although I could use more MP for cropping purposes.

I really don’t need another camera, none of us with more modern mirrorless cameras do, but I’m sure when it releases and I watch 20 influencer videos that day, I’ll feel like my camera is a piece of shyt and buy the new one.
