RP is 1k and the R8 is 1500, but seems like a noticable step up

R6 vs R6ii, the ii only really seems to upgrade video and a have bit smoother OS along with better battery life. The autofocus system tracks a better variety of subjects, but seems negligible for the most part. The R6's video is limited to 30 mins before you get an overheat warning.

rp is a great camera

although not full frame r7 is a beast

Yeah, they're just a hair out of my budget, but I'm a buy once cry once type of guy at the same time and they both seem pretty future proof. I know either one would serve me well for many years to come. I'm actually still perfectly fine with my 5diii though, so I'm gonna try and wait for the price to drop at some point. I think I'm going to aim for the ii though, mainly because of the improved battery life, more uniform iso grain pattern, and better skin tones.

how do you find samyang breh?
been seeing them make more lenses recently - they just announced a 35-150 that seems like a tamron clone.

good for the price. I'm sure the sony native 35's and probably the sigma art have better image quality and that's probably only on some pixel peeping shyt, but i've never had issues with my samyang 35.

edit: and i would imagine their prices are going to keep creeping up as their quality gets better.
