no hiding fam, haven't got it yet. Once I do, I'll be in here with some shots from it. Canon holding out on those instant rebates, they had $600 off my 5DM4 when I bought it.

@Kamala Harris Nope - Ad600 strobe light with a silver beauty dish. Was -30 outside and she literally was bout to die loll. Shoot lasted all of 5-10 minutes before she couldnt take it anymore. but happy with the results. a shooter has got to know how to get results under pressure and with a change of plans

Peace brehs. I was cleaning out my grandmother's home and came across a Canon Rebel T5 brand new still in the box with a 75-300 mm lens. Any help on getting acclimated to the diff settings is appreciated.

I suggest YouTube university for just getting started out and then come back here with specific questions. I found this video real quick with an overview of your camera model and what the settings do. Also Adorama has a really good YouTube page about all aspects of photography.

Just starting out though what do you think you will want to take pictures of?

Finally found a local shop that takes special orders.

They have the IV available right now, but I'm going to cancel my B&H order for this FX6 and just do a special order with this local spot. Said they haven't gotten any shipments in this month but they did last month.

I just have to drive out there to do it in person.

Ran out there today and paid for it in full, they put my name at the top of the list for the next shipment and it will be shipped to my crib. I had to put the purchase on 2 separate cards because the business card I got with Chase for the promotion, only gave me a 4K credit limit

I migrated over to a Canon EOS R from a Lumix G9 and so far I’m really liking full-frame. Hopefully I can contribute to the group in here in the future. Any mirrorless canon shooters in here have the RF 50mm f1.2?

I tried it when I went to a canon event paired up with the r5 and r6. I’m the AF is fast and accurate as hell. Lens is sharp and the bokeh is beautiful. I’m not a lover of the 50mm anymore (I’m a 35mm guy now) but that lens is worth the money.
