You doing full body or multiple people?ordered a 42" ez glow from adorama (via amazon). adorama send me the 34" instead. I contact them to get the right one, they tell me i gotta send this one back then reorder for whatever reason they cant just send out the correct one when they get the wrong one. I call them this morning after getting confirmation that they got the wrong one and the customer service person just a bumbling idiot. I had to just reorder this shyt again, hopefully they don't fukk up again. bout to get on they ass about free expedited shipping or something. i hate when people fukk up then act like somehow i caused them to fukk up.

Crazy how when you first get into photography a 50mm is the most recommended lens. I don’t know anyone personally who likes the 50mm. If they want a nice composition with the background they’ll use a 35, all the money shots are done on a 85, 105,135 or 70-200.
Just did a portrait shoot this past weekend and brought a 35 f1.8, 50 f1.8, 24-105 f4, and 70-200 f2.8 and the 70-200 never left the camera. This was my first time ever shooting with a full-frame 70-200 f2.8 and I'm 100% sold. If I could only ever have one lens this is it, no doubt about it. Thankfully I can borrow it for free when I need to but if I ever lose access I'm buying one asap.
Tried that 35-150 f2-2.8 from tamron and it's probably the most versatile lense I've used. I'll probably get rid of the 70-200 and my 28-75Just did a portrait shoot this past weekend and brought a 35 f1.8, 50 f1.8, 24-105 f4, and 70-200 f2.8 and the 70-200 never left the camera. and go with that.
I like the 50mm on a full frame. Especially for indoor group shots and parties.
Otherwise, I think the 85mm is the minimum for outdoor portraits/headshots. The 105mm or 135mm is even better
The 135 is my favorite and most used lens (for portraits).
Speaking of make sure you guys keep those lenses protected. I almost had a heart attack when I took the lens cap off.
I used to be right there with you. When I was a m4/3 shooter I hated zooms and was 100% invested in only prime lenses. I could see myself eventually only having a 70-200 f2.8, a 35, 50 or 85, and something wide and calling it a day.Everyone got their favs
I hate zoom lenses
Im trying to go to Egypt hopefully this month and I’m only going to bring the 16mm
It's hard to argue with the price for a nifty 50 across any system. The logic is that if you find yourself always needing to get closer, get something longer and vice versa for always wanting to back up. Plus, kit zooms that come with most cameras are trash and slow so it's a good and cheap way to get nice shots inside.Yeah I think it’s just a nifty fifty because the 1.8 is cheap but I never use it
for portraits I prefer the 85mm and everything else 35
Same here. I have two friends that have them and I threw it onBeen wanting to try that 35-150 but it’s not available for rent around here. I keep the 24-70 for events where I gotta move around a lot but that reach to 150 is intriguing as hell.
