any videography brehs have an advice for some good LUTs for fcpx?

my school took some kids to puerto rico for hurricane relief.

it was my first time using a shotgun mic. i need a gimbal though

The audio sounds great. Most of the shots are great. I honestly don’t think you need any luts for this. I like the natural look of it as is. Did you shoot at 60fps? Some spots were you slowed it down looks like you might have gone from 30 down to a slower frame rate and gave you some choppiness. Overall really good video. You would definitely benefit from a gimbal. I have the Zhiyun Crane Plus and cant recommend it enough. It’s a bit expensive but worth it. Did you try the stabilization in final cut? Especially for that in car shot. FCP has great stabilization. What camera are you using? It seemed to handle low light well.

Thanks breh, I appreciate it! I went with the takstar over the rode for money purposes

For the LUTs I was just thinking in general did anyone have suggestions for good ones. I shot it in 24p, so yea the slow motion wasn't hitting.

I probably won't be able to get a gimbal until the end of this year, but was eyeing the Crane v2. Is there a big difference between the plus and v2?

I didn't use stabilization in fc, I have in the past put it didn't work out for me, maybe I'll give it a shot again.

The camera is a nikon d5600, using a sigma 17-50mm 2.8 lens. I pretty much just use this lens for everything, i find it versatile

thanks for the tips

@Towlie How was the experience being down there bruh? I know rebuilding is extremely slow right now.

I can only speak on San Juan and Luquilo. San Juan was running fine. Stores were closed though. We stayed in the Condado area but the Hard Rock and Cartier stores were closed among others.

Luquillo was smooth but not as well off as San Juan. By the beach there are a famous strip of kiosks, like 61. A lot of those were closed or bordered. El Yunque wasn't all the way open.

From what people told me its the rural areas that have it the worst, understandably.

We had a great time. PR showed us a lot of love

Currently trying to raise funds to send 10 students to Nigeria June 2019 to do some service work.

Over the last couple few days I got to test out the Fuji Xpro1 I picked up last month. Brehs :wow: this shyt right here... the skin tones, color, dynamic range and retention of detail in low light situations :whew:

I got my FDs on this bytch with an adapter that makes the crop factor effectively full frame instead of aps-c. It's unreal how much better this is than my last photo camera :damn:
