What’s a good camera for beginners?

I keep hearing about these mirrorless Sony joints.

Is that the wave?

Young Guru got me wanting a Leica but I don’t know if it’d be wise to drop a stack on something that may end up being fleeting hobby.

Got my eye on this Nikon D3300
sony or fuji.. and you're going to drop a stack unless you get a used jawn. all them damn leicas are like 2-3 stacks :dead: and most of them are manual focus :manny:

I know this is more for stills but daps+rep if you can tell me how this effect is achieved

Is it settings?
Is it the camera they're using itself?
Is it done and augmented in post?

It's a very visually stunning video and I have seen artist who's photographers use a similar style but go figure they all wanna delete their work.

Thoughts. Trying to take my work to the next level and incorporate this kind of lighting and color pop

There weren't any special effects in this video. Whoever shot it has a good camera for low light shooting, that's how they recorded in that setting and got high quality footage.

Most of the look of the video was done in post. (Color, tones and transitions etc) Everything else was just the cinematography and the director's style of shooting and capturing the shots and angles he wanted. There's a lot of different presets that are available in Premier and Sony Vegas that they could have used to get the composition to look like that, but I don't know what they are... I'd say take a screen cap from the video, and take a shot that you have in a similar setting and edit it to look like the reference pic

Anyone used Capture One before? If so, can you set your file sizes for your images while exporting like on Lightroom?

Brehs I shot a wedding yesterday let me tell you it was the hardest thing I've ever done, I was on my feet for like 12 hours, everything was inside in a darkly lot cavern , Didn't even have time to eat, my hand is killing me a now I have like almost 3000 images to sort through.

Never doing this again

Note:
A couple at my church photographer cancelled on them literally a few days before because of an emergency. So they asked me I should have said no :to:

on top of that, there are no redo's for a wedding and people are VERY nitpicky with those picture.

i know just imagining you going through that is funny as fukk :mjlol:

squatting down to get a good angle and almost blacking out when you try to stand back up :merchant:

:russ: atleast you learned ya lesson, 99% of family/friend social gathering shoots are super trash and definitely not worth the money

dunno, but i think i'm about to start playing around wit capture one next week. this Cloud shyt aint wavy :francis:
I copped the Sony Version for my MacBook. It's going to take some time learning how to navigate it because I'm so used to LR, but the entire workstation is customizable, you can drag and drop settings you want to edit wherever you want damn near.

It's like LR and Photoshop wrapped in one cause it's a lot of utility in using layers. I only dabbled with Photoshop for real specific edits, but now I'm going to force myself to learn how get the most out of my images. Just copped a Wacom pen/tablet too cause of how CaptureOne works with layers.

I did video work for a wedding back in October. I one manned it too. It wasn't too bad. The bride included me in the dinner list and they had an open bar so yah boy was eating

:win:

Worst part was when it came to getting her the footage. I gave her the digital files via Google Drive, 1080p and crispy... But she needed a DVD. Which was fine, I burned a disc, but it didn't work with their DVD players.

:why:

I'm like why you still using DVD players

:dwillhuh:

So I had to look up how to put the shyt in a format that would work on her old ass shyt.
