How are you getting the highway shots with what looks like a lot of really fast moving cars?

Pretty easily really. Just need a tripod or something sturdy to have your camera on. You then need to do what is called a long exposure. It's where your lens stays open for an extended period of time before closing. Usually around 8-10 seconds you can get an image like that.

Brehs... I'm looking to get a camera......for what? Basically everything but I'm starting to get into street photography. So I mainly take pics of buildings, streetscapes, crowds, etc. This is just a hobby so I'm not interested in spending ridiculous dough.

I have a Canon g9x which is cool but think I may return it. Battery is complete shyt and there are some features it's missing.

I have been looking at the Sony A5000, RX100 and the Canon Rebel SL1.... Would rather a mirrorless joint but could go for a smallish DSLR or a really good point and shoot.

Main thing I want is image quality, good battery and decent zoom. What do yall recommend?

I know you mentioned a zoom, and it all really comes down to personal preference, but I would start with the Rebel SL1 mated with a 24mm pancake lens. On the Rebel body, it'll give you a somewhere around a 40mm field of view, due to the crop sensor. It's a great general purpose fov, and very compact. The size will encourage you to carry it with you more often and the fixed focal length will give you better image quality, as well as force you to get more creative with your shots. If you still want a zoom, stick with the 24mm until you can save up for a Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 OS lens. The sigma won't give you the greatest zoom length, but it is an amazing piece of glass. For more zoom, I really like my canon 70-200f4, but it's a little pricey. FWIW, zoom lenses often give you a loss in image quality due to the light having to travel further through more elements to reach the sensor.

I'm looking for a nice film camera to just walk around with. Any recommendations?

if you can find any of the yashica's or contax cams, those are pretty kool and small and do a good job, and canon sure shots, kinda old but if you can find one youll like it

ive got the yashica T4 and canon sure shot max, i had a canon A1 a few years ago but sold it, made of metal and kinda heavy so having it on your neck will tire you out, plus taking that shyt to the clubs is dangerous , i was in a mosh pit and had the cam swinging on my neck from left and right thought i was going to hit someone on the head .
