What are you using for lighting in your pictures? Are you using diffusers/reflectors?
Lighting looks natural in those pics to me
These are all naturally lit. Just know where to place your subject in relation to the sun. Not completely blowing the highlights so that in post i can bring up the blacks/shadows. Most of them were just backlit to get a slight rim lighting effect. Nothing with reflectors or diffusers, yet.

The ones that are faded, I was trying something out and the backgrounds of the on the convention floor were "busy"...so I was just really trying to put the focus on the cosplayers.
I thought that was the case. Looked like you were going for that faded look to me.
