my 18-55 kit boy...i keep it on me in case i forget and i did that day...the effects were done in Vignette on my phone after i put it on there as wallpaper...
Anybody have suggestions/tricks for keeping your subject in focus at all times? I am forcing myself to shoot manual/aperture priority and when I look in my viewfinder things look crisp....I then occasionally chimp (no c00n) and look at my lcd display and things look good...
...but then when I import everything to lightroom half my shots gotta be deleted cause they werent in focus....why is that?
Im still shooting with my 50mm 1.4 and it dont matter whether I increase or decrease my aperture...Im still getting like 50% out of focus images.
If i'm having focus issues i take the autofocus off completly and manually focus, it may take a second or 2 more but i get the shot i want...also take MULTIPLE of the same scene/pose ect. Sometimes you may think the shot is cool but wind/smoke/animals/other people ect. jack up the shot, but i usually take 5 to 10 exposures per pose...its a lot to sift through in post but you get better results. Expect around 60%-80% of ur shots to be trash...its just data...no need to try and get things perfect the 1st shot

breh.. tell me how to shoot this shot.i been trying forever.
thats a studio shot so...low lighting (no model light on in the strobe)...took my continuous and pointed on my back...opened up the aperture as much as i could and placed the AF RIGHT in the middle...
the settings were
f/4.2
1/200 shutter speed

went out downtown last night. fit into a random club free because the promoter wanted me to take photos. dude ended up giving me his card and telling me if he likes my photos he'll pay me $200 a night to shoot promoted events.
