I watched a playthrough of single player campaign. It looks decent, I’m not a halo guy but i don’t get a lot of opportunities to troll xbox fans with new game releases so I’m gonna savor it.

How is the campaign?

I haven't played much multi-player since I'm not a big multi-player person but goddamn I'm having so much fun with this campaign. I'm just now past the second level and just made it to the ring so I haven't gotten far but this opening portion is exactly what you would want from a Halo game so far.

There was a movie made by Peter Jackson but it got cancelled about 15 years ago.

I wish there was a 3rd person perspective option to these Halo games. I love a game with a good storyline but I dislike 1st person.

the original was gonna be a 3rd person shooter after it was changed from an RTS

That's 343's bread and butter; smooth gameplay and mediocre writing.
