Jessica and Luke were not whiny and emo

Is this a joke? :dead:

Cage was sitting around moaning about having powers, his dead wife and being a reluctant hero for the whole damn season.

Jones just moaned and whined about Kilgrave and her life.

These characters are being made so dull and dour to the point where they can't even carry the show where they're the main character by themselves.

It's the Nolan approach to superheroes :scust:

I wrote a whole counter on JJ's subplot and why Kilgrave being a catalyst caused her to "whine about her life" but I deleted all that shyt because...

They need to aunt via this breh
So much unnecessary dialogue also like when he's in the elevator with the security guard
I think this is the director more than anything

Are superheroes not suppose to face any conflict or pathos on their journey to triumph? and notwithstanding it sounds they were totured/traumatized by those events as oppose to being whiney and emo. Greiving over your deceased wife or rape isn't what I'd call whiney or emo but to each their own

Watched this over the weekend. Was relatively disappointed by it. I was more captivated by the Meechum's storyline than anything else, and Rosario Dawson (:noah:). The girl that played Colleen Wing was decent but her storyline with Ironfist was meh IMO.

Dialogue was bad, Finn Jones was disappointing as a lead and it seems like the show was almost rushed to get Iron Fist ready for Defenders.

Random and somewhat unrelated but why did they make Jessica Stroup look so old? :heh:

It wasn't needed for 13 damn episodes. It is not interesting or engaging to watch. You simply end up with a one-note and dry character. That's why Kilgrave was the star and most interesting part of the show as opposed to the titular character. He actually some personality and energy. It was the same with Cottonmouth and Cage. The same with Rand and Madame Gao.

Conflict must = character being withdrawn, hesitant and downbeat for an entire season?

It is not good TV, just slows everything down and makes the main character a bore compared to the supporting characters who are the opposite .

You don't see Legion doing this with it's main character. That's also show that actually wants to make it's main character the star of the piece. These Netflix shows cannot say the same. None of actual heroes can carry a show with how they're being written.

I gotta disagree. jessica jones was dope. and it had a really good villain. plus luke cage was in like half the episodes.

iron fist is just terrible.
The villain powers were funny at times but overall I wasn't moved with Jessica. I agree on Luke paet
