Wow, an Iron Fist show show where the action and fight scenes are mediocre :mjcry:. Thank goodness Into the Badlands is starting again tomorrow :whew:.
I swear these nikkas are fighting in slow motion...

After completing Into the Badlands last week this shyt is absolutely pathetic in comparison...

Officially done...

Didn't make it 7 full episodes...

Man I'm through 10 episodes so far.
So far I've learned 2 things. Don't trust a CAC named Ward...they got major daddy issues and secondly, I need to find a best friend named Davos. These nikkas ride or die :whew:

overall this is by far the weakest link. Nothing memorable and the acting was hit and miss. Davos was one of the shining moments in this season, hopefully he turns into Steele Serpent". The things that irked me the most was the whole forced love interest/sibling story. shyt felt mad forced and all the actors involved with said relationships absolutely had no chemistry to make me feel for them. Harold was a cool villian but Fisk>Nobu>Cottonmouth>Gao>Stryker in that order gave me enjoyment. Finn Jones just ain't going to cut it and being Luke is his broly, I don't know. Not even upset that Marvel stayed true to the character being Caucasian, I just think this was a quick "let's cast duke because he was apart of a hot show. The fighting was meh and it could have been fresher showing more styles then just basics and weapons. They wasted the whole druken master fight which makes me really appreciate Jackie Chan. The "4" deadly venoms(couldn't even get a whole 5, was pretty damn wack.i can't front when he did punch the ground in the finale, I was hype as fukk but that quickly came to a halt with that wack ass Die Hard ending, plus we know this nikka ain't dead because they didn't cut his head off. I really think this could have been special with the right lead and writers. Funny thing is Rosario and the actress that plays Gao carried the fukk out of this season. Not to mention how bad the fighting sequences were when you could clearly see the stunt doubles from real actors. Even though JJ was a hard grind as well, by episode 8, things started to fit and pick up. Which leads to the next gripe about Marvel Netflix. The trend of the hero getting hurt from episode 8-11, which flashbacks, other character struggles and mundane exposition needs to be changed up. They are following this formula too much and it does bring down enjoyment, that's what hurt DD2/Luke the most. The season started off hot then they went lukewarm to an okay finish. They really need to re-evaluate the pace of each episode and maybe condense to just 10 episodes total. Overall I give Iron Fist 2 out of 5. So much could have been made of this, especially for fans that loved those 70s-80s karate/Kung fu flicks. Not knocking anyone who finds this dope but just didn't move me like I hoped for:yeshrug:

Thought this was pretty dope. I enjoyed the fights plus all the twist and turns the story took.

Don't get the dislike this is getting but I thought it was a fun watch :yeshrug:

I'm not gonna say this is the weakest of the netflix series, that title will always remain with JJ but it was still weaker than JJ in some elements. The dialogue for example was horrid, it didn't help that some of the actors weren't that good either, for example Joy. She's by far the most boring and annoying person in this show, she's 2x worse than Karen from Daredevil and that's saying a lot. Colleen was also pretty boring and I said in a previous comment that I couldn't pay attention to anything other than her body. However her fight scenes were good so that's a minor plus. Finn was the worst. Dude has no heart and comes off really bland. He doesn't have a presence like Luke Cage or Matt Murdoch does. His fighting scenes were really choppy as well, even with his iron fist it wasn't that engaging. Best thing about him I guess would be his taste in music.

Another bad quality of the show includes pacing. Combine that with the dialogue and it became a chore to get through it and I've never wanted to fast forward or even take a break binge watching a marvel netflix show, ever, but I did for the first time and that was saddening. I'm not gonna comment much on the fighting, as people have already said enough about it. All I'll say is that it was poor as a whole.

I will say that some characters were entertaining. Madame Gao was cool, she's always had my interest since Daredevil and her playing mind games with everyone was the best part of the show. Harold was also a good villain, it was almost disappointing when he got killed the first time because he was one of the highlight of the show. Claire of course was a good touch of humour and big up to her for reppin Luke with the "sweet christmas" line every once in a while. Her taking out someone from the hand was kinda goofy though.

My rating would be a 3.5/5. I'm still looking forward to Defenders but I'd be straight lying if I gave a damn about wanting to see Finn in that lineup lol
