i'm sorry, you can't whine when someone keeps true to source material. you don't like it, tough shyt, there's a built in reason "that's the source material." you wanna whine about Tilda Swinton being an old asian man? have at it. you wanna whine about a white guy being a white guy? nah, that's when you're taking it too far and opening pandora's box.You have to understand that Hollywood have been doing this since the beginning and people are getting tired of it. I know he's billed as a martial artist.... maybe a pretty good one...... but not the greatest

you are probably right about The Punisher being one and done, but to me it potentially has the longest shelf life of all the marval/ Netflix show
For two simple reason
1. Jon Bernthal might just be the strongest lead actor of all the marval/ Netflix show
2. since the The Punisher is basically a loner vigilante type character it is very easy for writer's to move him a round city to city and change the scenery,look, coloring & feel of the show from season to season very seamlessly
- think about a season set in say a place like Texas,Arizona,New Mexico with a feel's and coloring of movie's like "Come Hell or High Water" or " No Country for Old Men"
- then next season you could do a snowy, white, place with a city like Minnesota that feel's like the movie 'Fargo"
- do a season in Las Vegas robber's/ heist men showing of the nighttime light of the Vegas strip that feel's like "heat"
- a season in a cold, dry, windy, rough city like Detroit, Philadelphia,Chicago that feels like "Four Brother's"
- go to a hot ass, sweaty place like Mississippi, louisiana with some country, hick ass, back-woods red necks, meth cooker's, think "swamp people" , "True Detective",
- a season in Miami with a bright color palate
- hell you can even go out of the country place's like Russia , The Untied Kingdom, south America

Agreed with all that silly shyt when we whining about Tilda but then act like "oh well nothing to see here"
when nothing is said about Chiwetel. He was the second billed actor in the movie behind Benedict and probably got the second biggest paycheck... plus you know he gonna be back and his character was originally a white guy.So essentially, cats whining about the 6th billed star in this movie. SIXTH!!!
And to piggyback..... as a black person.... I just feel like lets pick and choose our battles better. Cuz I think it makes us look petty and like we're whining over everything on some "boy cries wolf" shyt and ultra sensitive
I bet the same peeps mad dont support Rosewood, the new 24 or other shows with black leads or blacks in major roles, but over here mad at the SIXTH billed costar in a flick

First off, calm down. If were going to have a discussion there'sno need to get all worked up. I may disagree with your opinion but I respect it. Now:
No one is saying white folks can't be martial arts legend. But it becomes a problem when the people who created that culture Hollywood is appropriating can't find work in that field and are relegated to playing the sidekick. That's a problem.
