Nog, Cro cop, Coleman are zuffa calibre are they not? Each achieved success in their own right so those wins can not be disputed. The fighters I did mention some never even fought anywhere in the majors (in America), and some weren't even HWs and on whole have an average to terrible record just because he fought them on the much heralded ground of pride shouldn't mean we should overate those wins

And at least with Fedor the guys he's beaten you have seen fight other big time fighters and have some sort of success.

There is nobody DJ has beaten that I wld rank as an all time great, legend, hall of famer nothing. If Torres is your biggest win then you have a sad record. Cous every1 who watched we back then knew Torres wasn't shyt. And was padding his wins vs mid to low tier competition. Which is y he lost to Brian Bowles after and Benevidez.

I'm fact when DJ beat em Torres went 3nwins and 5 losses in a 2 yr span. So that is the great win for DJ? Come on son, let's stop da hype train. Ur a solid champ DJ but far from great.

DJ is great just not goat status. Him asking for Conor especially now after fox just released their numbers of his show. Even Conor wouldn't show up to that arena for that fight. The fact he skips Cody to go to Conor makes me laugh.

He was too small for bantamweight but he's going to make lightweight? Doesn't even seem like him, a lot of these ppl just say this stuff because they are trying to make news, probably on the advice of their managers. Why he would do it days after his event (and as you say the ratings were revealed:mjlol:) I don't know. Must really be letting that GOAT talk go to his head

I call him goat but he's not really goat. Exactly the timing of that comment is bizarre.

:jbhmm:is that like he's the best (right now) but when Jones comes back and starts winning its jones? Or do you still have Anderson? GSP?:scust:or Fedor?

Yes, it's more relative to what's going on right now. Not talking about past legends or counting Jones since he's not active.

So he's your p4p #1 but not the Goat, makes sense now..

I can't even give him p4p cous when he was at a higher weight he still lost to Cruz and Pickett. He is what he is, a fly weight champ and that's bout it.

Cormier is my p4p num1. Then Connor. Plain and simple. Connor beat 2 Champs at 2 weight classes and both wins were convincing. Cormier the way he shyt down Rumble who MD every1 else look like nuthin is jus krazy. And if not for his team are Cain I bet Cormier cld go to HW and be champ right now. Him vs Reem wld be a krazy amazing fight.

that's the only head scratcher, we don't need to theorize how he would fair at a higher weight class, we saw him and he lost to a couple of guys then moved down and has gone on a run. But out of everyone in the ufc whose amassed the amount of consecutive wins currently. The fact that he's champ as well as the 10 defences with finishes sprinkled in, you got to hand him #1 on the p4p by default. My problem with Cormier is he barely defends and AJ basically cleaned the division for him. He basically fought Cummings and hendo en route to Jones. Then it's been AJ x2 and Gus (Anderson doesn't count). He's towering over a wasteland I will be more comfortable placing him at 1 when he beats jj(cage rust and all)

:whoa:that's not how it works breh but it's a sad state of affairs that many ppl believe it is. Its what GSP is attempting to do to be seen as the greatest ever,:scust:

Yes but Silva has wins over other top fighters from other weight classes DJ doesn't. Silva beat Forrest former lhw champ, Hendo former lhw and middleweight champ, vitor former lhw.

There is absolutely nothing on DJ's resume that speaks towards being p4p best. If nething it shows da opposite he's only good at fly weight and nething else he's average at best.

Bones Jones wld be the final accomplishment for Cormier. I could see him retiring in the ring afterwards.

But if I lined up Cormier a resume to Dj's Cormier stands out more to me as p4p.

Silva
Hendo
Barnett
Gus
Mir
Rumble twice (dj has not fought ne striker as dangerous as Rumble)

Jus in these few, look at the various former Champs, diff weight classes. That's speaks volumes when talking bout pound for pound. Dj has beaten no former Champs, has Jo significant wins at higher or lower weight class over top tier legends or greats.

And again, bones Jones record reads like a whos who.

Damn am I buggin' or are the only two cats to start 2016 with a belt and still have it now Cormier and DJ (not counting JJ here since it's damn near impossible to compare women and men in P4P convos imo?) DJ has 5 title defenses since 2015, Cormier has 2 and I don't think anyone else has more than 1 (not counting Woodley's draw and it's worth mentioning that Stipe has his second defense coming up). It's hard to win a belt and REALLY hard to hang on to a belt in any division at any time.
