I take Muay Thai and Brazilian Jujutsu. Theres a few fighters at my gym (x3 in Atlanta) and they told me that I have a decent foundation and good technique and to go for it. I picked up Jujutsu surprisingly fast my coach said. I've never taken wrestling though so hopefully I won't run into a strong wrestler in my first match.

My only problems is I have knee issues so I can't train the way I want. I don't wanna go pro, I just wanna get like 3 or 4 fights under my belt so I can tell my grandkids I used to give nikkas that work back in the day

I'm low key excited to have my first fight and surprisingly my girl has been encouraging me to do it. I just don't wanna get knocked out in front of her :merchant:
Keep us updated, breh. I wouldn't worry about getting knocked out as long as you play to your strengths and follow your training. From what I've seen, people get knocked out most often when they try to do too much and be a fighter that they're not. Plus, people will respect you just for getting in the ring, even if it doesn't go your way. You would be looked as a Gladiator.

This is not a surprise, Bisping's win was a fluke. Dont get me wrong, Rockhold deserved to get knocked for his arrogance in not respecting the fact that he is in there with another trained fighter. Luke still beats bisping 999 times out of a 1000. With the killers in the top of 185 Bisping wouldnt even have 1 title defense. Even though Bisping thinks hendo is a safe bet, I wouldnt be surprised if hendo knocked bisping again if the fight is made.

I wouldnt be mad if they schedule Bisping and hendo 2, but I feel for Jacare though, he should get next.

1st thing I remember about ufc 100 was a scrawny nikka wit sum krazy kicks on da undercard that stole the show. Everybody at the fight party was talkin bout fight the whole nite.

That scrawny nikka was Bones Jones. So yes 200 has a lot of big names, but who's gonna steal the show. Which fight or fighter on that undercard is gonna make this memorable and have a lasting impact in ufc and mma.

Sage northcutt :troll:

Ps this ain't the card to see some unknown blue chip talent, other than pena/Enrique Martin everyone on the card is practically a zuffa vet. Pena doesn't have the style to be exciting so forget it

And that is exactly my problem with ufc 200 thus far. When u got ur biggest fights and biggest cards in year setup for all eyes to see. Wldnt u out sum prime blue chip young talent on the undercard so the general fans can get an introduction to them. And then yrs later when they on the rise they will thi k, hey I saw that kids and 1st fight he was nice.

This is the 1 thing I don't like about the ufc these last cpl of yrs. Their development and introduction of young fighters. Now when they pluck solid young fighters from other organizations they are Goin str8 to ufc cards. Gettin knocked out or ignored. Previously they were put on The ultimate fighter show. The show had better quality cous of this, and after the show the guys would be visible still rising up the rankings. Casual fans would grow with the fighters and with the ufc.

Will Brooks will be fighting Ross Pearson in his UFC debut.

Anthony Pettis will be fighting Charles Oliveira in his 145lb debut.

Both are good fights, especially Pettis/Oliviera.

Dude, Bisping's win WAS NOT a fluke...

(1) He watched tape and noticed that Rockhold drops his right shoulder

(2) He practiced a combination to take advantage of that weakness...

(3) He thought and executed his plan...NOT A FLUKE...

Plus, you can't ignore the mental aspect of fighting...Rockhold came into the fight mentally weak...Yes, it is a BIG weakness to underestimate your opponent, and to not be motivated...

This is all part of the game...Being concerned, attentive, alert and aware is part of the hunt...You don't see lions slipping in the savanna because the Zebra they caught yesterday was weak...They hunt zebras with the same intensity all the time...

The mind is a factor in who wins or loses...

Can't wait to see will brooks purse, talk about walking into a negotiation with zero leverage

Agreed.

He's dumb for openly airing out his issues with Bellator. If he played it smart (pretend he was interested re-signing with Bellator), he would've definitely made more money. I'm pretty sure the UFC offered him a mediocre contract, and he pretty much had no choice but to accept.

Doubt it's true but in the slim chance it is I bet it's the Ali act amongst the sport kind of tapering off that's got them wanting to cash out
