You could say that and speculate about the future of any company. IDK about what this Connor/Ronda and division shyt you are babbling about has to do with anything. UFC is drawing record profits. It's an extremely valuable company right now. End of story

We definitely could. But some lines of business are more stable and controllable than others.

Let's not forget that Zuffa is not a AAAA-rated company. All of their moves have been to make lenders happy and clean the league up for sale. They're like a C-rating because their revenue was so dependent on PPV and stars that aren't guaranteed to be draws due to injuries or other bullshyt happening to them. The Reebok move was to add more consistent income. The TV deals the same. The WWE Network thing they got is the same thing. They want subscribers to have more streams of revenue.

Even with all their additions, 33% of the company's revenue last year came from Holly Holm KOing Ronda and Aldo KOing Aldo.

Where are you getting this information about their credit rating from? Because they are a private company and they don't reveal
much about their workings outiside their year end profit from PPV? And even so, Zuffa will not be involved once they sale so that's irrelevant. And what's the obsession with Ronda and Connor? This is a cycle. New stars will come and go like always. UFC is the recognized brand.

The obsession is that stars of that magnitude are few and far between.

I believe that their largest event ever might still be UFC 100 with Brock (PPV buys). The audience hasn't really expanded.

I got into an in-depth discussion here and here about it.

I agree with most of your post, but I just wanted to put this out there:

In 2014, UFC grossed $449,008,000 and posted a $73,957,000 profit. That was the year everything went wrong with injuries and such

Pretty good numbers for a brutal year.

I'm still failing to understand what point you or Brady trying to make. Are you saying UFC is not profitable? Even without massive stars?

I jumped in late and just went back to read your exchange. You're contending with @Roman Brady that the sport isn't tapering off and is in ascension.

I dunno what Roman would say, but I'd say growth is stagnant. and boom years are based on volatile individual successes and the owners are selling high.

I don't agree that growth is stagnant. But I do agree they are selling high.

UFC should've booked Fedor vs Brock for UFC 200. Even after all these years that atmosphere would be crazy

can you not read? I wasn't talking about conor nor Ronda's div (irrelevant as no one can draw for shyt) I was talking about them as individuals, you don't think another diaz finish would be problematic for McGregor's brand? Can anyone say for sure honda is returning back to fighting? Zuffa won't even release the numbers for 197. :heh: I ain't talking about the company I am talking about the sport. Hell WWE is a valuable company doesn't change the fact wrestling is gone to shyt

We are talking in circles here clearly the sport has peaked, they've read the tea leaves and are getting out while the "company" is in good shape.

JimmyV breaks down what happened in game 6 of the finals. He hopes that Steph doesn't get suspended for literally the last game of the season. No team has come back down from 3-1. JimmyV believes the NBA is up to something for the way this whole series has been going down. Kosher talks the CopaAmerica knockout game between USA vs Ecuador. First time USA has advanced to the semifinals in 21 years.

Smart move retaining Dana if the sale goes through. Regarding Bisping's win being a fluke, he did what he was supposed to and came fully prepared to beat Luke. Always take an opponent serious no matter what.
