I could see dudes point, due to not understanding English and being reactive (mostly in the staredowns :beli: ) it just seems like mcgregor is running circles around him. It doesn't help that Connor is the leading story for everything happening while aldo just has that same blank stare during staredowns :beli:

This whole "tour" was just a showcase for Connor. I hope Aldo is getting paid to participate in these antics

Junior dos Santos says fight with Alistair Overeem would be 'interesting'
Junior dos Santos hasn't seen the inside of the Octagon since his grueling five round battle against Stipe Miocic last December. Knee surgery has sidelined the former heavyweight champion until July, but that hasn't stopped him from thinking about his future.

Especially when it comes to a familiar name: Alistair Overeem.

Dos Santos, for one, thinks the idea is quite interesting.

"That's an interesting fight. If the UFC also thinks so, it will happen" Said Dos Santos to Combate. "He's doing well, got himself two wins in a row. Before that he was sort of apathetic in the division. No matter who it is, I just want a fight that can make me evolve and get better at my quest to be the champion again. My goal is to just fight again. But that could be a good fight, yes".

When Overeem was asked about fighting Dos Santos again, he seemed hesitant, which stirred up rumors of him being afraid of taking the fight. "Cigano", however, prefers to think otherwise.

"I don't believe he's ducking me. He's a great fighter who conquered many titles. We, fighters, don't look at our opponents with fear or anything, that doesn't make sense to me and I think it's the same for most of the real ones. He's training with Greg Jackson, has added new weapons to his game, like the stomp we see Jon Jones do a lot. His footwork was good, he struck without getting hit back. He evolved. He's also not as buff as he was before, he has been working on his speed".

A member of Nova Uniao since 2014, Dos Santos revealed he plans to try new camps in 2015 in order to improve his game. Although he doesn't want to move away from Brazil, American Top Team seems to be on the top of his list.

"I have many friends over there. Antônio Carlos ‘Cara de Sapato', who is like a brother to me is training there now. There's Bigfoot, Roan Carneiro and Yuri Carlton who is my jiu-jitsu master. There's also Steve Mocco, who is a wrestling beast. I'd like to diversify. Big Nog and I used to go to San Diego and that helped me a lot. I think it would be nice to go back when it doesn't get in the way of my camp at Nova Uniao.

McGregor has been treating Aldo like his bytch all week. Lost a lot of respect for Aldo. SMH

Aldo does not speak much English
Conor is doing his funny but staged antics
It is all a hype show, don't take it too seriously

What is Aldo supposed to do? rant in Portuguese? throw barbs via a terrible translator? hit him across the head with a belt? Aldo trying to match McGregor in foolery is stupid and is exactly what Conor wants besides call me cynical but I just take these press conferences in both fight games with a pinch of salt and just enjoy the show.

Lol, I kinda half expected the Dublin fans to start chanting "USA! USA! USA!"

Unless there is real beef/history between the two, I don't even understand the antics of McGregor. Aldo is a stud, been solidified already. Somebody tell Connor he doesn't have to go full Chael to sell this fight because apparently he's pretty talented himself.

It's his thing, he likes to be gregarious just like Chael, I find it funny but don't take it too seriously.

Aldo needs to learn some basic one liners and then spit them in broken English. If he called Connor a potato eating (due to the famine in Ireland) cac I'd lose it

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
They just talked about the press conference on the local sports show.

UFC coverage doesn't really happen on this show.

No one knew who Conor was before the belt stealing hijinks. And they really didn't know anything about the promotional tour.

The scene in Dublin made them want to watch the fight...but I dunno if the interest will last til July 11th.

These aren't ppl that typically cover the sport. I'm going to use them as a barometer of MMA in America

Brazilians don't really talk trash like that.

It'd be out of character for him.

Contrarily, UK nikkas love talking shyt. That's really a no contest.

He did rant in Portuguese when Conor snatched the belt. Never has a champ ever been clowned like this. I'm not talking about the verbal diarrhea. I'm talking about taking Aldo's belt and taunting him with it TWICE. Grabbing his shirt from the back AFTER your trainer said not to do it. Making a shoulder motion to make Aldo flinch during a staredown. Aldo just took it like a meek bytch.

Meh, Same was said of Chael and Anderson, all this stuff is meaningless BS, the fight will tell the story.

How is canned one liners gonna work against someone with mic skills :comeon:
it ain't much but he needs to step it up more instead of firing off insults in his own language, which nobody can understand. but then again he doesn't seem like the type to talk too much shyt.

dodson is basically the mascot of jackson wink's
