:ld: nobody wants to see that, dude needs to go on a run and build his legacy. Only person aldo should face in that division is Cruz.

Ps didn't really see any comments on it but what are ppls opinions on the Joanna Jędrzejczyk vs Cláudia Gadelha fight. Much like the Lawler/hendricks fight it seems the striker was rewarded the w despite being controlled for long stints by the grappler. While that fight could be a toss up this fight was not. I know it's females so no one cares but are we seeing a shift in mma judging or were these 2 recent fights coincidences

At first watch, I thought the judges were going to give the nod to Claudia. I would want to go back and watch again to see how many strikes from Joanna landed. I think it is more of a coincidence that it happened in those 2 recent fights though.

This is the end of the year. What's the Fight of the Year?! Fighter of the Year?

Pretty much every Lawler and Matt Brown fight was dope. And the one between them was crazy too. Lawler for Fighter of the Year.

So disappointing! the one time fighters come together and this is the best they got? The only person that really has a case is cung, their blunder destroyed his reputation. The stuff about strikeforce and fighters not having the best chance to go on the open market is such a punt in the wind. Yeah zuffa should be penalized for making good business decisions and being the longest org standing :beli:

Fight of the Year: Aldo vs Mendes II & Fighter of the Year: Robbie Lawler

Cowboy also had a great 2014, 4-0 with wins over Barboza, Miller & Alvarez.

The fighters are right, it sucks. But the UFC is just using its leverage to get the most it can. It's called business.

It's the laws that need to change, not the companies. That's why I think people who think CompanyX is messed up for being stingy, not paying enough, aren't giving back. It's not their job. People who run the companies are paid to get the most money possible within the law.

This is a MMA thread so I don't' want to derail into some economics type opinion, but the rich get richer. It's obvious to me because they know how to get rich so why the hell wouldn't they continue to get more money? It's like GSP keeps beating people up and winning. He's got a ridiculous double leg take down, it's so cheesy for him to use it and then you want to get mad about him using his strengths to win.

Anyways, the lawsuit makes sense to me. It's the start to get fighters to have more power to get more money. Of course UFC will fight it because they'll lose power and they'll have to work harder and give up more money. This to me is all just capitalism working itself out.

not a good example, the rise of a darker more diverse presence in mma gave gsp bulletproof and in turn more fans. He could wrestlefuk his opponents all he liked because he flew the flag for the majority that watch the sport and populate America. It wasn't until his last couple fights that even his most loyal started to cry foul the funny thing is hed been performing the same hustle since 2007 :pachaha:. My point is in mma just winning can only take you so far ask do you think it's just by happenstance Connor mcgregor who was a nobody last year is probably earning more that some vets

Yea, I was using GSP to try to demonstrate why you can't blame those in power using their power.

Some would say UFC is abusing their power. My argument is that it isn't abuse if it's lawful. They're using their full powers to get the most they can get out of fighters. Their lawsuit that UFC's business is built on battered bodies is true. That's literally the UFC's business. And as a fighter you kind of know that when you decided to make fighting your career.

I'm not saying fighters should suck it up. I think fighters should band together against the UFC to get what's theirs. This lawsuit is not ridiculous as someone posted. It's progress to fighters getting their fair market share. If fighters win this, unionize, then more fighters may be willing to fight for bigger purses. Then we'll boxing level purses and hopefully more fan-friendly superfights.

Imagine if Anderson Silva and GSP decided to just book the Cowboy stadium themselves and fight like Mayweather?

That's some pie in the sky wishing on a star type ish, if fighters are hesistant to do big fights when a bossman has them over a barrel then by virtue once they are their own boss they aren't likely to suddenly develop courage are they. You say the incentive of more money will change their minds how much do you think an anderson/gsp fetches on ppv without the help of the 3 letters

the best way I can put it is their reason to go to war is earnest but the ammunition and artillery they are going in with is pathetic so much so that it's suicide. Just look and the pietorious and 2 blax murdered by 5 0 cases that went down this year. The accused could have sin written on their forehead but if you come with the wrong attack it's gameover.

Ps looking at the particulars that ish about how the ufc could use your likeness forever for videogames whether you've been cut or not and if you work for bellator you can't be in their game is real :patrice:
