Silva's a huge dude but his striking is not very technically sound. Neither is Mir so I think it's a decent match up in the striking department. Silva plods forward so little head movement. Mir might be able to catch Silva because of that or might be able to make something happen on the ground. I haven't seen much of Silva's ground game though he's a supposed black belt. We've all seen the bones broken by Mir's ground game.

I'd take Mir on this one.

I pick Hendo against Mousasi too! Mousasi hasn't been that great to me. He hasn't lived up to his early hype and potential. The only thing in my mind is the effect on Hendo not being on the TRT. If Hendo comes to the weigh-in with some titties, then I'll change my pick to Mousasi
Mir's been on a slide recently, but Silva still seems to be in his prime, so to speak. He took a lot of bombs from Hunto and still stood there, albeit with PED assistance. I think Mir might sub him or get pounded the fukk out, or Silva will catch him on the feet. But with Mir having been out for a while, his injuries might've healed up some and we'll see a rejuvenated(ish) Mir.

Hendo just seemed timeless until he didn't and became :flabbynsick:
Mousasi had a lot of hype, coming in as a Fedor-trained fighter with good hands and stellar grappling. Then he fizzled, and is still a contender, but not for long if he loses to Hendo. UD or sub for Moose I think.

I don't really see that as an issue because his career is still young and he's looked very impressive so far. Nobody has really been able to put him in deep trouble, which is a definite positive. And although it wasn't anything major, Weidman did show heart and resilience in his last fight against Machida.

I would post the first Silva fight .gif, but that KO still hurts :to: That 'too flukey' talk just doesn't cut it, he was winning the 1st Silva fight before the KO and he was dominating the 2nd Silva fight before the injury. Dude deserves his props, he's the best MW in the world.

As much as I would like to see Anderson work his way back from injury and win that title back:wow: I just don't see it happening. :mjcry:
Weidman was not dominating the first fight. He was a deer headlights. Better watch that again. Its the reason Silva was talking shyt, dude refused to engage after he got snuffed. Second fight he did good, but Silva has always been a slow starter. He doesnt turn up until second. He spends the first reading your timing and watching your game plan.

I never said he dominated the 1st fight. I said he was winning the 1st fight, which is what happened. The second fight before the finish was very one-sided.

:stopitslime: I dont care how well dude was doing early in the fights, due to silvas dumb ass tactic in the first and the 2nd freak accident we were not able to see a legit Finish.... Like how Weidman did Munoz, Munoz didnt let dude take a free shot:lolbron:

Chael was dominating in the first fight.... but silva came through in the end.

had the first round in the second fight, till silva came back.

didnt travis lutter have silva in trouble a couple times in their fight?

thing is due to both of those incidents we were not able to see a "definitive" finish :yeshrug:

so its hard to give those fights major props...:patrice:
