Issue with Weidman is that we've yet to see him overcome adversity and show the champion's heart. We usually see that with our great champs pulling one out. Also he hasn't had the legit huge KO highlight. The Silva KO felt too flukey. Everyone feels more like Silva lost it being a dumbass than Weidman beating Silva. And the injury fight still feels flukey so Weidman doesn't get props.

I think after the Diaz fight. Maybe 1 or 2 more fights after that, we'll probably see a Weidman vs Silva 3.

Only statement win I ever seen by dude was the Munoz win but I've seen him get destroyed by a bunch of dudes.

Both Silva fights are still flukes to me:yeshrug:, Machida was beating his ass but lost for being gunshy early.

I don't really see that as an issue because his career is still young and he's looked very impressive so far. Nobody has really been able to put him in deep trouble, which is a definite positive. And although it wasn't anything major, Weidman did show heart and resilience in his last fight against Machida.

Also he hasn't had the legit huge KO highlight. The Silva KO felt too flukey. Everyone feels more like Silva lost it being a dumbass than Weidman beating Silva. And the injury fight still feels flukey so Weidman doesn't get props.

I would post the first Silva fight .gif, but that KO still hurts :to: That 'too flukey' talk just doesn't cut it, he was winning the 1st Silva fight before the KO and he was dominating the 2nd Silva fight before the injury. Dude deserves his props, he's the best MW in the world.

As much as I would like to see Anderson work his way back from injury and win that title back:wow: I just don't see it happening. :mjcry:

Wait so when Machida was lighting him up in those championship rounds and survived that wasn't overcoming adversity? And no legit KO's? Did you miss when he split Munoz skull open with an elbow?

they're all going to meet up one way or another:yeshrug:

I like rockhold tho:upsetfavre:

anybody else champ besides weidman..PLEASE.
:beli: Romero and jacare are getting long in the tooth the former definitely shouldn't be put in a title eliminator like this. No way he beats weidman but he's done enough to be granted the opportunity. There is no reason for these 2 to be on a collison course given their momentum. Especially when they would both beat the post trt Vitor and give weidman a more competitive fight

LoL. I missed that Machida fight. I'm just trying to rationalize why people aren't really excited with Weidman as champ. I'd say he's the 2nd least interesting UFC Champ right now. Mighty Mouse being the first least interesting.
