Silva's a huge dude but his striking is not very technically sound. Neither is Mir so I think it's a decent match up in the striking department. Silva plods forward so little head movement. Mir might be able to catch Silva because of that or might be able to make something happen on the ground. I haven't seen much of Silva's ground game though he's a supposed black belt. We've all seen the bones broken by Mir's ground game.
I'd take Mir on this one.
I pick Hendo against Mousasi too! Mousasi hasn't been that great to me. He hasn't lived up to his early hype and potential. The only thing in my mind is the effect on Hendo not being on the TRT. If Hendo comes to the weigh-in with some titties, then I'll change my pick to Mousasi

Big Foot Silva can one hitter quitter Frank for sure, but he is so slow and plodding so as one of the few Frank Mir fans I wanna think of this as winnable. But then I remember Silva also uses his size very well when he pins cats against the cage which is another way Frank finds himself losing this fight. Dammit
I'm going Mir by headkick followed by flurry of punches TKO tho

Mir can't lift his leg that high! I pick Mir. I think he has like a 60/40 chance only though. He gets wobbled so easily, Silva won't make the mistake of letting his recover like Noguiera. Mir wins by counter hook KO.

I was just looking at that UFC card and it really isn't that good. Not sure what i'm going to do. I def want to see Hunt vs Werdum but that's a lot of loot for one good fight. I usually buy every PPV but with the WSOF and Bellator card i'm not sure.
Especially because on Comcast if you are recording two shows at once (WSOF and Bellator) you can't watch a third show (the UFC ppv)
But i really don't like those shytty stream sites. I wish there was a really nice quality one. I know what that is usually great but it's always like 5 minutes behind real time.

Mir can pull this off
if he stays off the cage....plus dude has better boxing then silva, and although we havent seen much of a ground game from silva aint worried, Mir done handled one of the best in division in BJJ in Minotauro.
plus lets not act like silvas jay leno chin is made of iron.
