Why would ufc be not too happy about it when the man in question can't even stay healthy long enough to be a legit ambassador. With werdum in the position to be champ, coupled with his ability to speak Spanish, English and Portuguese I'd say ufc are happy to have him as a last resort. The Mexican market is very important to them if cain's frail can't stay healthy they need to do what they got to do. Don't you remember that jap card that was stacked with Koreans and chinese? On some any Asian will do :heh: ufc are fine with it @TheLukieBaby
after all the f-ups through the years you would think he would relish this golden opportunity but he's squandered it before even entering the cage. He's just killed the main attraction for that WSOF card :scust:

:stopitslime: I dont care how well dude was doing early in the fights, due to silvas dumb ass tactic in the first and the 2nd freak accident we were not able to see a legit Finish.... Like how Weidman did Munoz, Munoz didnt let dude take a free shot:lolbron:

Chael was dominating in the first fight.... but silva came through in the end.

had the first round in the second fight, till silva came back.

didnt travis lutter have silva in trouble a couple times in their fight?

thing is due to both of those incidents we were not able to see a "definitive" finish :yeshrug:

so its hard to give those fights major props...:patrice:
yep. Silva is a slow starter. we all should know that. he spends the first round gauging your timing and game plan. second is when he turns it up. first round he snuffed the hell out of Weidman, had that boy out there shytting bricks. second round he kept screaming at Weidman to throw his hands, but really he was just baiting him so he could do his usual matrix and make a highlight reel. Silva got too cocky tho.

Chael Sonnen: "Georges St-Pierre is a far more superior athlete and fighter than Anderson Silva."

Agree or disagree?
GSP is most def a superior athlete. Dude could have been a gymnast, Silva is a better FIGHTER, but not a better athlete. If they were to run the 40 Id give it to GSP. I bet GSP lifts more weights, probably has better balance and all around agility.

Bellator outlines their future plans for the early part of 2015

In January you have Pitbull vs. Strauss which should be a good FW scrap. Frodo is probably still stuck in Visa hell, not sure about the fighter who won the last FW tourney.

In Feb you have Daley vs. Lima which should be a fun striking battle. I heard that Koreshov was injured, which is why Daley is getting the shot. Also McGeary gets his shot against Newton.

In March you get Warren vs. Galvao for the BW strap. I like that fight because I thought Galvao should have gotten the decision when they fought the 1st time.

Because he is Brazilian.

Look at how the UFC is shifting into marketing with flags, how could Werdum be the patron saint of Mexico and the fighting pride of South America. Werdum is more so, a fighter who is accessible to Mexican fight fans, but has a style that is the opposite of the traditional "Mexican" fight fan style. Though the language aspect is important I think that having good fights is the most important part.
