Thanks breh , Rza is a legend so of course he can make banger with shytty equipment but it can only help your mix to have good monitors with room treatment

"Rza had sh1tty equipment but still made bangers"

:beli: Slate really messing with my pirating game. I just got back from Guitar Center too, I would have scooped it up. I got it now on the HPF. I'm about to put the Maschine down for a sec and focus solely on getting my mixing skills up for a while.

I know....his plugins are so fukking fire, the only thing close in my opinion is universal audio but they require hardware to use...

B ut...if you got the fabfilter bundle u might be good, I didn't even realize but there other plugins are fire too

Its good you want to get into mixing it could be a descent side job if you get your skills up enough....

What is your current equipment now as far as speakers and headphones and sh1t do you have an interface?

I got some Yamaha HS 8's for monitors. I just picked up some Audio Technicas earlier today. I got the M50 model. I don't have an interface, but I plan on getting one in the future. And yeah, hopefully I develop enough skills to turn mixing into a side hustle, cause this music shyt is an expensive hobby, especially when you start turning into an audiophile:mjcry: I got some $1000 monitors on my wishlist. At the end of the day, I do it for fun though. I've sold beats, but little did people know, I would have given them shyts away:heh:

This mixing shyt is a whole different beast though. I definitely won't be mixing an album for free. I'm already starting to notice how time consuming the mixing game is, especially with me being the type of person that is obsessed with getting something as close to perfect as possible when it comes to music. I've been wanting to release a beat tape for minute, but I really want my shyt to be on point sonically before I start throwing them out there

Its a joke video based off a piece of machinery that totally flopped. It's hilariously panned cross the web.

:snoop: the sad part is if I could cop one for less than $100 or even find one at a pawn shop I could turn on and play with I would. I like to fukk around with different equipment though :manny: I wouldn't own one solely, I just want to push the buttons, something tells me they have like a plastic toy feel to them.

With all that said, ive heard that the Beat Thang program is actually solid.

Ok the monitors you have are rock solid. I would def get an interface though, a computers soundcard is trash usually....

I'm not sure of your budget.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna get an interface sooner or later. Do you recommend any? I wanna get a quality one. My music fund is almost depleted now though, so I won't be able to get one until I get a job, but budget won't really be an issue then. I moved to Atlanta in January, and I still haven't found a job yet:francis: I planned and budgeted for 6 months without a job, so shyt is about to get skressful in a minute:mjcry:

So, to make sure I understand correctly, I should high pass everything except for bass, kicks, etc.. and work from there?

yeah, pretty much. then imo, the best way to really start a mix is by getting your panning and levels set and finding a solid balance. if your sound sources are on point, you can usually make the mix sound pretty good just by doing that...and that's even before you touch any eq/comp/reverb/etc.
