Nobody is saying dumb ass republicans are gonna suddenly start voting for Obama.

The Vid will definitely sway some independents in Obama's favor. Republicans have largely been indifferent to Romney, so it's not that they'll vote for Obama so much as they might not vote at all or they'll vote for a third party candidate.

Good point, I don't think that this is going persuade Romney supporters to vote Obama. The best thing that can happen is that it will rile up Obama's base.

Overall, I don't think it will do much damage. A week from now, this will all be in the past. Bill Clinton allgedly made a monumental speech a few weeks ago, and hardly anyone remembers it let alone talks about it. THis will be no different.
