Jordan Fuller, the No. 10 cornerback in the nation, has in-home visits remaining with
Ohio State,
Michigan and
Notre Dame, and then will make his decision.
Those in-homes will come after the Northern Valley (N.J.) Old Tappan standout made his final official visit, a weekend trip to Michigan, where he remained Sunday night after flights to New Jersey were cancelled because of a blizzard.
His official visit ended Sunday morning, but he remained in the midwest with an impressive collection of New Jersey talent whom either already attends Michigan, or is being recruited by the Wolverines.
Fuller was hosted by Michigan quarterback
John O'Korn, but he spent a lot of time with plenty with other players and recruits as well.
"I was really with different kids each night," the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Fuller said. "I hung out with
Jordan Lewis-Green,
Amara Darboh, one of the receivers, and I was just chillin' with the guys in my class who are committing. Guys like
Kareem Walker,
Ahmir Mitchell, and
Devin Bush Jr. and (2017 linebacker)
Drew Singleton and
Rashan Gary. It was real cool."
A big piece of Fuller's recruitment is where teams will play him. He likes cornerback, and the Wolverines, as well as Notre Dame and Ohio State, are recruiting him to play cornerback.
"I went over the defense with (defensive coordinator) coach (Don) Brown," Fuller said. "He's got some really cool stuff. It looks like a really fun defense to play. I was with (secondary) coach (Michael) Zordich a lot fo the weekend, too, just hanging with him. And with Joe Hastings, a (graduate assistant) there. They took me around campus and they showed me where I would fit in with the program."
Fuller also spent time with coach Jim Harbaugh, and his competitiveness came through in an intriguing manner.
"You can tell," Fuller said. "If you make a suggestion, he will really take you up on it because he wants the program to be the best of the best. He always wants to know what other programs are doing. That's what other coaches were asking, too. Throughout the whole program, they just want to be the best."
There was one thing that stayed in Fuller's mind was the complete package at Michigan.
"What stood out to me was the education," Fuller said. "I spoke to a lot of academic people and it really just wowwed me with their balance between education and football. I toured a lot of buildings, and it was really cool."
