SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - Wide receiver Dylan Crawford (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) said he still plans to announce Saturday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamo Bowl during the game.

He said he's still down to six finalists - Washington, Michigan, Oregon, Stanford, Miami and UCLA.

He plans to narrow the list later this week, perhaps Thursday.

Crawford said he will meet with his family Thursday before making his choice.

"As I go on I'm slowly starting to narrow it down," Crawford said. "But definitely no definitive decision yet."

The Crystal Ball reads 54-percent for Michigan, 23-percent for USC, eight-percent for Arizona State, eight-percent for Stanford and eight-percent for Oregon.

Crawford said he's high on Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh.

"You know he's going to lead you and lead your right," Crawford said. "It's definitely about football and a football town. The education is good there as well.

Crawford has officially visited Oregon and Michigan.

He said Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, Stanford and Washington visited his school in December.

He said Washington stopped by twice.

"I just see myself being a dynamic player there," Crawford said. "I definitely like that. It's definitely appealing to me. The aspect of versatility. I can see myself playing different positions there."

He said he talked to new Miami coach Mark Richt in December.

The four-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 20 wide receiver and the No. 18 prospect in California in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Old Tappan (N.J.) Northern Valley Regional Top100 athlete Jordan Fuller checked in Sunday for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl with four schools still very much in play for the blue-chip recruit.

Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State.

Fuller confirmed that the Buckeyes were his one-time leader before slowing the process down. He gets back to Columbus on Jan. 15.

“After my (first) visit I couldn’t really find any weaknesses with them and that really enticed me a lot,” Fuller said. “Since then I haven’t been there recently so you get (out of sight out of mind). So I’m excited to get back.”

Fuller wants to play cornerback in college and has seen the Buckeyes produce at the position including fellow Jersey native Eli Apple.

“For sure because I definitely, if I’m capable of it, going to the NFL, I definitely want to do that and they do it at every single position there, corner especially. Their player development on the field as well as off the field, they pay attention to both.”

Ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 5 athlete, Fuller took his first official visit of the process to Notre Dame the weekend of Dec. 11. It was his second time in South Bend.

“When I visited before, none of the players were on campus, so getting around the players was real nice and I liked those guys, and I got around the commits too and that was cool, and obviously the balance between education and football is awesome. I got to watch them them practice too.”

Fuller also talked about the impact of being a Notre Dame alum.

“I spoke to a guy that my dad knows, he works at T-Mobile and he’s a Notre Dame grad, and he spoke really high of how the networking is, it’s extremely real, that was good to know.”

Fuller is excited to get back to Michigan the weekend of Jan. 22.

“I look forward to seeing all the changes they’ve made to the program,” Fuller said. “You know it’s working so that’s really big and their education is great. I see myself fitting in as a corner and on special teams and maybe on the offensive side of the ball, they mentioned that also.

“There is definitely something about Coach Harbaugh you have to definitely look into, and Michigan is just a great school overall, and their football is really big there. I like big fan bases and big football.”

Nobody is recruiting New Jersey this cycle at a higher clip than Michigan with Fuller and Rashan Gary the remaining two on the board. Michigan has commitments from Kareem Walker, Ahmir Mitchell, Brad Hawkins and Ron Johnson.

“I don’t know them well, I talk to them sometimes,” Fuller said. “It’s something in the back of my mind they love Jersey and they always want to get guys from there.”

Fuller originally planned to visit Penn State the weekend of the 22nd but since his mother has never been to Ann Arbor they switched to Michigan.

“I wanted her to have a full official visit,” he said.

With that being said, Fuller said he’ll likely take a mid-week official to Penn State following the Michigan trip.

“They’re very much in it, it’s just that I’ve visited four or five times already. They’re definitely just a family. I’m a family guy. I like that. They’re going to do big things. They’ve been successful so far.”

Fuller believes he could be real successful playing for Nittany Lions defensive coordinator Bob Shoop.

“He’s a mastermind,” Fuller stated.

Nauta shared the main reasons why he’d choose each of his three finalists:

UGA: “Location is big. It is right down the road from me in the SEC. It is obviously one of the best conferences in football, no doubt about that. There’s a new coaching staff but if that does end up working out between me and Georgia then I could potentially be a part of something that is brand new and refreshing. I could say that I was a part of that.”

Alabama: “They win a lot and it would be a place where I could get into a system where I could always contend for a national championship. They are also at a place where they teach you how to be a successful person and not only a successful athlete. Those traits could carry on for the rest of your life.”

Michigan: “Coach (Jim) Harbaugh produces tight ends,” Nauta said. “His players come straight out of pro system which is what he runs. He’s got connections from every coach in the league to general managers. It is definitely a place where if you do well in his system, you can really take it to the next level.”

It's like logically he knows which school to go to but the location factor:aicmon:

I am still fully expecting Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy 2016 five-star tight end Isaac Nauta to commit to Georgia at the Army All-American game on January 9th.

I am not even tweeting this note out because I don't want to deal with the responses.

A source very close to this recruitment on the Michigan side of things believes the Wolverines are still in this race heading into the last few days before he makes his decision public, with more than a puncher's chance. They will continue to push before he decides. The sense I got is that they believe he is leaning Georgia, but not leaning so hard that it's a slam dunk at this point.

Again, I'm still FULLY expecting Georgia to be the choice, but am passing this note along for two reasons: One, this staff is relentless and I think it's always worth noting that they are continuing to push really hard for an elite prospect and two, it's me trying to keep people as fully informed on things as I possibly can.

These are the types of notes I don't necessarily enjoy sharing because people will inevitably get their hopes up, but one of the interesting things about the recruiting process is the behind the scenes pushes by staffs to try to reel these guys in at the very end.

After doing some digging on the Michigan side of things, I have put a 247Sports Crystal Ball on 2017 Top100 quarterback Dylan McCaffrey to Michigan.

McCaffrey has been Michigan's top 2017 target at the quarterback position along with Atlanta (GA) product Davis Mills. While passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch has played a major role in McCaffrey's recruitment, head coach Jim Harbaugh would probably be listed as the primary recruiter for him on his 247Sports profile page if head coaches were allowed to be listed as such.

The four-star is the son of former NFL wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and the brother of Stanford superstar Christian. The Cardinal have not offered McCaffrey a scholarship, and seem to be set on taking one of the aforementioned Mills or Alabama product Jake Bentley, both of whom they may be in great shape with.

McCaffrey has been to Michigan's campus twice, including an unofficial visit for the game against Michigan State in October. Wolverine247 was able to recently confirm with McCaffrey that his original plan was to re-visit Ann Arbor again in November for the Ohio State game, but he could not because his team was in the middle of a playoff run (they would go on to win the state title).

With Jake Rudock's success in year one of Harbaugh's Michigan career, expect the Wolverines to do well with their top targets at the position going forward. McCaffrey was one of the first scholarship offers of the 2017 cycle for the staff, and he has been their top target at the QB spot the entire process. As it stands now, we believe the Wolverines are in line to eventually receive his verbal commitment.

Long Feeling Wolverines
32m
Brandon Brown, Staff Writer
Los Angeles Loyola cornerback David Long is very high on the Wolverines and after day one of practice for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, he wasn't shy about that fact.

The four-star prospect recently decommitted from Stanford and now the Wolverines appear to be in the lead to benefit from that decommitment. At this time it appears to be a Michigan vs. Washington battle, but after listening to Long discuss both schools, Wolverine fans should feel very optimistic heading toward National Signing Day.

The 6-0, 170-pound Long is considered the No. 8 cornerback and No. 94 overall prospect nationally and is No. 8 in the talent-rich state of California.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Three of Michigan's top commits from the Wolverines No. 5 ranked recruiting class showed well during the first day of practice in preparation for Saturday's U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Houston (Texas) Westside Top50 defensive tackle Jordan Elliott is an elite talent.

Elliott got off to a fast start in competition drills splitting double teams and wreaking havoc in the backfield. The country’s No. 7 defensive tackle according to 247Sports took several dominant reps, shoots the gap quickly and is a strong pass rusher from the interior. One of the more physically impressive guys on the field, Elliott is also one of the better athletes in small space with his quick first step.

I'd be very surprised if Elliott wasn't on the two deep right away at Michigan.

There is not many offensive linemen I like more in this 2016 class that Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech's Michael Onwenu.

The nation’s No. 1 offensive guard according to 247Sports, Onwenu struggled a little bit with learning the new offense but what he doesn’t struggle with is strength. No question he was the strongest offensive lineman on the field and he was also perhaps the quickest. The future Wolverine also plays with plenty of toughness.

Onwenu will be one of the West's most important players going up against a loaded defensive tackle group on the East that includes Dexter Lawrence, Derrick Brown, Julian Rochester and Antwuan Jackson.

Michigan commit Brandon Peters has a live, accurate arm and he also showed nice touch. He’ll be fun to watch develop in Ann Arbor as the Avon (Ind.) High talent continues to work on his fundamentals. There wasn't much opportunity for the quarterbacks to air it out, and Peters is a guy that when he's in command of his offense, is in complete control, but out here on day one everything was foreign. I didn't see Peters turn the football over and he did look to go downfield when he could.

Notes on other Michigan targets

Top247 receiver Dylan Crawford works his routes well, a polished receiver with great speed. Michigan is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite. Michigan is hoping to land the California product when he announces Saturday.

A versatile defensive back, Top100 athlete Jordan Fuller may project as a safety on the next level but he's been working primarily at cornerback this week and he was the second best defender during 1on1s. A big, cerebral player that looks like he wants to be out there, Fuller has the complete package. Fuller officials to Ann Arbor the weekend of Jan. 22. It will be his mother's first time on campus.

Top100 cornerback David Long told 247Sports Jim Harbaugh will be his last in-home visit of the process before he decides. Long visits Washington that weekend, will see Harbaugh the following week and make his decision. The Huskies and Wolverines are his top two.

Elliot is a beast him+Gary :wow::wow::wow:
