I don't think our coaching staff consistently puts our players in a position to win. I feel like Michigan doesn't try to out scheme the opponent.

I've regularly praised Don Brown for half time adjustments, but most of the time the thing he adjusts are things we'd find in the scouting report. You know Hamler is the threat so you're better off running nickel as the base defense to counter him. I thought Dax Hill would have been used to shadow Hamler, but instead, I get to watch Hawkins, Metellus, and Uche (wtf) cover him. Hamler getting the better of Dax, Lavert, or Ambry on occasion is bound to happen of the course of the game. However, anyone else covering him is setting them up for failure. We don't have speedy players all over the defense, but Penn St doesn't have a bunch of speedy players on offense.

Last night I praised them for finally fighting back, but the fact that they were down 21-0 in the first place is a problem. They should not be starting off this slow in the first place.

So i stole this from the mgoblog from 1980 through 2007, Michigan at a glance Cue the research.

For the period, M went 256-82-5, including bowl games, for a win pct. of 75.36% . We won 3 out of 4 overall.

Against ND, we went 10-11-1 (47.73%)

Against OSU, we went 15-12-1 (55.36%)

Against MSU, we went 21-7 (75.0%)

I did not compile stats for the rivalry with Illinois.

We won or shared the Big Ten title 13 times in those 28 seasons (46.43%)

Fellas, we are an upper tier program but we are not a juggernaut, and won’t be until we get it in our minds that we are fully committed to football(read paying players) we won’t have the horses to pull off what you want, also keep in mind we still have not found that qb but outside of tua and to an extent sunshine who’s this great qb out there that would lead our program to passing heights ?? And if it’s a dude putting up numbers i guarantee he’s not seeing the defense we see

I see you’re gonna ride with Harbaugh till y’all ride off in the sunset together huh? It’s cool. To be honest, I’d rather him get his head out of his ass and turn it all the way around. There’s no other coach that I’d rather see lead us to a national championship. But.. I just don’t see it. And just because my team isn’t a juggernaut, doesn’t mean that I can’t hope and pray. What I CAN expect is fundamentals and hard play. And these million dollar coaches putting these kids in the best position to win. Not to handicap them, like they seem to do entirely too often.

I think he’s making the most out of it, but i guarantee if people didn’t bytch and moan about the offense then he doesn’t pull the trigger on gattis, but also in the same breath if the offense was rolling people would find a way to say gattis is a genius and not give harbaugh credit, we as a fan base have champagne aspirations with an administration focused natty turner-esq budget, and a change doesn’t guarantee anything but losing recruits and starting from scratch again

He shouldn’t have to worry about Gattis being called a genius if the offense works. Everyone knows Harbaugh’s reputation as a good coach. Is no other coach allowed to get recognition? They praise Don Brown because he feasts on cupcakes, then struggles against the better teams. He never seemed to mind Browns praise.

What kills me more than anything else is how often these coaches let these kids down. It happens A LOT. Over and over again. Every other week, it’s another bone headed decision that makes you question wtf is going on in Jim’s head.

I can't watch the game live, but Michigan should win. 24-20 Michigan is my feeling.
I haven't watched the game yet but it looks like I was wrong.
