Glory to Michigan
I don't think our coaching staff consistently puts our players in a position to win. I feel like Michigan doesn't try to out scheme the opponent.
I've regularly praised Don Brown for half time adjustments, but most of the time the thing he adjusts are things we'd find in the scouting report. You know Hamler is the threat so you're better off running nickel as the base defense to counter him. I thought Dax Hill would have been used to shadow Hamler, but instead, I get to watch Hawkins, Metellus, and Uche (wtf) cover him. Hamler getting the better of Dax, Lavert, or Ambry on occasion is bound to happen of the course of the game. However, anyone else covering him is setting them up for failure. We don't have speedy players all over the defense, but Penn St doesn't have a bunch of speedy players on offense.
Last night I praised them for finally fighting back, but the fact that they were down 21-0 in the first place is a problem. They should not be starting off this slow in the first place.
