I've been slackin
Gotta get right
Me too breh, quarantine had me on the road to being washed highkey. Had to get back working out and practicing languages again.
Just start slow and build up. It took years for Kobe to build up that work ethic.
I've been slackin
Gotta get right
I been meditating twice daily in the morning and after dinner and this shyt helps...I just feel an extra sense of calmness about whatever I’m doing so when I’m growing I grind with a sharper focus.
only about 1 month into this routine so lets see where this goes
I've been working on myself. Help me brehs. Stay on me. Please. Life is not good right now for me. Ya boy is really going thru it. I need my coli brehs.
Thanks for making this thread @2Quik4UHoes

I got the Goggins book on Audible. Different from the print edition because he sort of has a podcast with each chapter. Very good tho. I highly recommend it...Goggins himself emphasizes that people shouldn't do exactly what he did, because he went to extremes. But he does encourage people to push their boundaries.Trying to run every day this month (at least 3 miles a day) and I’m on day 16. Went out in the windy ass rain and banged out 5 miles. Never did a whole month before but the shyt feels good. Halfway to the finish.
Downloaded a bunch of books to the iPad and haven’t cracked one open yet but people have been raving about the David Goggins joint so I’m gonna start it tonight.

Roger that...
Something to take from Goggins book and interviews is that...we should be doing the things we don't want to do.breh i know people are bytching about how hard times are right now but this is the perfect time for folk to get their shyt together. Unless you are literally sick ain’t no reason to come outta this shyt but we know so many will.
I’m blocking out the bullshyt and staying consistent as possible. No one knows when this shyt will be over but you should know when you could go run or hit the park and work out (or lift if you have the luxury of a home gym)
And for those not into fitness, use the damn time to get them certs up or learn some new shyt. I can’t be all bad for everyone. Find that silver lining because it exists.
So I’m officially on that meditation wave brehs. Twice daily for over 2 months now.
Took a new job with 25% pay increase and an extra week vacation
Also the pandemic is a great time to network and cold call brehs. Damn near everybody working from home now. Before it was harder because a C-level executive could hit me with the “I’m travelling to some important conference” or some shyt. Nowadays everybody posted at the crib so you gotta talk to me now

Goggins said that in the most direct way but I have gotten that message from other authors and people all my life.
And it isn't about dumb things. Like "I don't wanna do drugs so I should do drugs".
It is more about that voice in everyone's mind that chooses the comfortable thing over the more difficult, right thing we should be doing. Because that's where the growth is. And it isn't always physical. It could be something as simple as throwing out the trash now instead of later.
Put in the work. Every day. Not because you want to. Want has little to do with it. We have to.
I'm referencing Goggins but to be fair to this thread, that is something Kobe certainly inspired others to do. Put the work in.
