I love Kobe and what he brought to the game

But you can’t have mamba mentality without the skill

Same way everybody wanted to be like Mike in the early 2000’s

It’s crazy looking on the court trying to be a Kobe clone without the skill

:dead:

Find me a player who looks as cool on a made basket as Swaggy P looks here :childplease:

Above the fray.
Rest in Peace to Kobe Bryant, but the "Black Mamba" was a self given nickname and Mamba Mentality was a marketing slogan.

People need simple slogans to follow and repeat. We saw Kobe fail on the big stage as a kid, and then saw the results of him WORK WORK WORKING his way into great, elite, all time great player. There was something innate in him that took him from those airballs against Utah to retiring as an alltimer.

If there is such thing as MM, it won't appear in pickup games from random dudes in the gym.

“Mamba Mentality” has made one of the biggest marketing turnarounds I swear.. before, that mentality used to get clowned for being a ‘shoot it and fuk your teammates’

Now it’s basically a winning mentality.. I’m not even sure when that switch occurred. Because during Kobe’s actual playing career people were clowning it

That's not Mamba Mentality, it took off when he continued to refine his craft, adapt and persevered. Which is why people in all walks off life reference it. Mamba Mentality essentially is his transformation from 8 to 24. It's nothing special, it's about personal growth but we love it

canines & serpents

the mentality that mamba played with was key in his individual success

it was poison to a team though & only was balanced in the presence of old man zen(same for mj)

Where you been breh? These homos trying to take your place as a Laker/Kobe Hater just don't hit the same. Hopefully Profasi looking up at the state of the Lakers with a smile on his face :mjcry:
