That's the stage I'm at. I could move out of my parents place now or I just save that money and put towards something nice.

Exactly. I'm 27, moved back home to save money to better my situation. I got 3 years till I'm 30 and I'm asking myself if I should give up what I got going for nice weather and palm trees or just make the move and see what happens. A down payment on a house in LA starts at $30-$40k. And I don't even want a house. I'd rather own a condo or apartment.. but it's harder and a more expensive find in LA
That's what I'm saying, my advice is don't come out here without dough. The weather is nice but if you live check to check or are always working to survive you never really get to enjoy that shyt.
But breh, fukk an apartment, that's just throwing money away.

Quit looking at the stats, problem is nikkas ain't on they grind. So a lot of families moved outside of LA county to Palmdale / Lancaster. But the truth is a lot of average / middle cacs are suffering out here too....
The only peeps out here who can really do LA right are rich foreigners.

Now that it has pretty much completed horizontal sprawl, it is doing vertical infill development.

It'll be interesting seeing skyscrapers being built in LA. The skyline there is extremely underwhelming, especially for a city that large. Hope they built either sleek, modern towers or traditional brick ones and not a bunch of condos like Miami.

LOL I'm not hating on LA. LA's skyline is underwhelming, especially in comparison to the behemoth's in this country.
LA isn't as dense, hence why their started to build skyscrapers to add vertical density.

I never said Seattle was "all that". It has a denser downtown than LA does, as I stated in my post.
LA has "holes" in it's skyline. Big empty gaps. It's skyline is SPRAWLED and lacks density unlike Chicago, NY, Seattle and San Fran. This is why they are going to be building skyscarpers downtown, because the skyline is underwhelming for a city of that size. That's not "hating" - that's a fact that their building skyscrapers to increase vertical density so that LA.
