the beginning of the show was kinda psychedelic which made it hard to understand but as the show progressed, you start getting a feel of what is real and what is not. DUde is a powerful psychic, if you want to know read up on the marvel comic because that is what this show is based on.

the cinematography and production on this show is very good by the way. Quite high for a show on non-premium cable tv.

Noah Hawley was at SXSW and said "Legion" is "a returning show". I'd take that to mean season 2 is happening.

I'm thinking Melanie Bird isn't actually a mutant or at least if she is then she isn't a telepath since all telepaths can access the astral plain even the ones that use magic to do telepathy like Dr Strange. So she would have been able to spend time and see her husband Oliver while she works on bringing him back. Read someone's theory that Oliver is Mr Sinister and She is Rebecca Essex. Lenny did say her secrets have secrets although shyt who knows . Loving the show especially these last two episodes.

Who was the man narrating in the beginning of the last episode with dark hair and glasses?

Why are they going through Daniels past? Is it what's necessary to heal him?

So all of the imaginary friends are incarnations of the demon? The hitler kid, the dog, the druggie brunette, the fat guy? What's the demon's intent with Daniel? Why is it messing with him?

Oliver. Melanie's husband.

David & they were going through his past at first to show him what had been diagnosed as mental problems were really just his powers manifesting, Then, as they started down that path, they figured it's a little bit of both and now they've come to find out it's this psychic parasite being behind it all.

So all of the imaginary friends are incarnations of the demon? The hitler kid, the dog, the druggie brunette, the fat guy? What's the demon's intent with Daniel? Why is it messing with him?

Yes, they are all versions of this one entity. We don't know what the motive or purpose of it yet.
