I been doing keto since Jan 22 and been down 17 pounds without exercise. I don't know where you get the energy for workouts 6-7 days a week. Especially weightlifting. You gotta give your body time to repair. 6-7 days a week of working out is overkill, at least on keto. Plus you'd most likely be gaining weight since your body needs to retain water in order to repair muscles. Also, it takes the body much longer to recover while in ketosis. How are you getting energy? What's your recovery process like?

Breh idk if its just crazy genetics but I only sleep 5-6 hours a day and work 65+ hours a week. I'm in a supervising position in my job so once things are quiet I usually get away n go home, hit the gym, and take care of any other responsibilities after.

I work out around noonish fasted, all I'll have in the a.m is water and a shot of apple cider vinegar before I workout and Ill be in there from 1hr30-2hrs sometimes more. My first "meal" is my protein shake and then an hour after I'll have my 2nd meal and 2-3 hours later my 3rd meal. Sometimes I'll only have 1 meal after my protein shake and call it a night

My body just adapts real well to that lifestyle, I honestly feel like my recovery is great. Ever since this 9 week run started, I've been seeing gains in every workout every other day, my strength and cardio have only been increasing

My usual workout routine
-Stretch
-Eliptical or Treadmill 10-15 minutes to warm up.
1st day- Chest/Biceps
2nd day- Back/Triceps
3rd day - Legs/Shoulders
4,5th,6th day - repeat above I like to hit everything twice
7th day - My shortest workout day.. Cardio and Abs. I try to do abs everyday but I only to get to do it 3-4 times a week

Not drinking alcohol has really helped as well, no more hangovers and im always up early full of energy

Needed to find new "easy" keto recipes to switch things up...

Tried a stuffed pepper recipe that is easy and seasoned to personal preference-. You can add cauliflower rice or other low carb veggies in the mixture and use less meat or use a mix with jack fruit and ground turkey...the types of stuffing options are vast.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F

  2. Cut the tops off the Bell peppers and using a spoon scoop out the seeds and stems from each pepper.

  3. Place each Bell pepper into an oven proof dish and bake them for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F

  4. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a skillet and saute the onions until they are golden brown, then set aside.

  5. Add remaining tbsp olive oil to the same skillet and brown the ground beef until it's fully cooked.

  6. Set aside 1/3 cup (80mls) of tomato sauce for topping the stuffed peppers.

  7. Mix the cooked ground beef, onions, Italian Seasoning, fresh parsley , salt, pepper, finely chopped mushrooms, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and 2/3 cup tomato sauce.

  8. The pre cooked empty peppers may have liquid in the base, if so simply pour it out before you stuff them.

  9. Stuff the bell peppers with the tomato and meat mixture and place upright into an ovenproof baking dish.

  10. Spoon over 1 tbsp tomato sauce onto the top of each pepper.

  11. Make sure you have reduced the oven to 350°F and then cover the peppers with foil and bake for 35 minutes.

  12. Remove the peppers from the oven and top with the cheese, bake for a further 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbling. Serve hot and add more salt and pepper to taste.

I bought the new G Hughes sauces: Cluckin (fat based), Yum Yum (fat based) and Polynesian (no fat/no sugar). Tried 2/3 so far, not bad. Haven't used cluckin yet.

Can I suggest you do intense cardio on a fasted stomach.
Meaning if your were running 6 miles, cut it down to 3 mils but it must be timed and fast.

If you were on the stationary bike for 45 min, cut it down to 20min but put all the settings to almost max difficulty.

I wish you'd continued posting, once you max out the benefits of a new diet, you have to then figure out another way to stimulate the body once it plateaus.

Fasted cardio, keto, and intermittent fasting, I reckon you could get down that 212 lbs you've been talking about in less than a 2 months

I saw you were already doing intermittent fasting with your keto.

Yeah i haven't exercised a lick since this year started. I used to be a gym rat so I guess the pandemic and being at home gave me a new appreciation of not tearing my body up every day lol. Plus, I was seeing results so I didn't see the point.

I've done everything you said a few years ago when I did keto the second time (early 2018). Fasted cardio, weights, keto, etc. Except I pretty much lost the same amount of weight (20 pounds). Hence why I decided not to workout as much.

After that initial 20 pounds, losing weight gets harder cuz I guess our metabolism adjusts to the calorie deficit so we either gotta eat less or more. That's when exercising can help. But yeah, I been meaning to post again but it's only been 2 days since I got back in keto.
