Joe needs to start his own podcast network. His own version of The ringer.
I see both sides of the argument.
I understand that joe is mad that podcast that aren't as big as his got a much bigger bag, but spotify was clearly looking for ownership and Joe wasn't trying to sign away everything.
Those other podcast got a big bag for selling ownership to spotify, Joe cant really be mad if he wasn't willing to go all in with them.
I'm trying to word this in a way that doesn't come off as hating cause I fukk with Joe but does anybody believe the figures Joe throws around about having all these million dollar offers or all the money he makes off L&HH, SOTC, and The Pull Up.
I'm thinking he is either lying for negotiation purposes or he's horrible with money. Cause he talks about being broke before the Spotify deal but he was already on Love and Hip-hop at that point and not too far off from the Complex gig.
Even during his rap career he'd talk one minute about his house and his real estate but then on the next breath how broke he was when he went to E1 and even after.

bro this shyt is patheticYeah its weird, Joe legit sounds mad about what other podcast were paid but he doesn't want to sign a similar contract as those other podcast to get a similar bag.
He's arguing that spotify never saw the value in his brand, but they wanted everything Budden related to be exclusive to spotify after only 8 months, which shows that they actually did see the value in his brand.
I'm not saying he should have took the deal, but putting all this out there was a bad move, this is not the way to show how u do business. None of this sounds bad enough for a long ass public rant.

Going off of what spotify paid for other podcast, I dont doubt that they offered him 8 figures for the whole joe budden network, but joe thinks he should be able to get that for just the audio portion of the podcast.I'm trying to word this in a way that doesn't come off as hating cause I fukk with Joe but does anybody believe the figures Joe throws around about having all these million dollar offers or all the money he makes off L&HH, SOTC, and The Pull Up.

Rory still ain't married yet. I'd say theres issues at home.Tough to be enthused every single episode and they do have lives outside that can affect how they are on the pod. A female on the show wouldn't flow well, it just wouldn't.
Joe could have his own network under spotify with pull up, jbp video, state of the culture, etc., just like parcast but he doesn't see spotify's vision.Selling ownership and they provide way more content than Joe with far more range in subjects. I'm subscribed to 4 different podcasts from Parcast network alone.
Further in the show and he's really big bugging. He's comparing himself to some of the other purchases and while this one show may be doing better than all of the other shows, he's ignoring that the others are providing much higher quantity of shows while also doing ad reads which generates incomes for all of those shows as well.Going off of what spotify paid for other podcast, I dont doubt that they offered him 8 figures for the whole joe budden network, but joe thinks he should be able to get that for just the audio portion of the podcast.
Joe Rogan gave up everything for spotify, he's only posting clips on YouTube to advertise the podcast.
The parcast deal included a bunch of different podcast.
Spotify wanted all Joe's shyt in one place, he thinks he can make more by getting different contracts from different companies for every show he does, while remaining independent. That's fine if he feels like that, but he shouldn't be expecting anywhere near as much as the podcast he's mentioning if that's the kinda deal he wants.
Nah Joe too old for thisI see both sides of the argument.

I'm using their own words. Joe has talked about only having a couple hundred dollars in his account before the spotify deal. He could be exaggerating to prove a point but I'm just going off of his words.Broke compared to who ya know? To some people in my city, I got money. If I drive up north to the bay, I am not making enough to even really live how I want to.
Nah he mean Hollywood brokeI'm using their own words. Joe has talked about only having a couple hundred dollars in his account before the spotify deal. He could be exaggerating to prove a point but I'm just going off of his words.
Plus he might feel Spotify shady with the no vacation/ finesse you out your bonus shyt.Joe could have his own network under spotify with pull up, jbp video, state of the culture, etc., just like parcast but he doesn't see spotify's vision.
He might not be able to get a better deal than what they offered.
