So in a world with a no streaming, you would still be out here buying albums you had no intention of actually listening to?…and you believe there’s a significant amount of people out there that would do the same? So significant that it negates the portion of people who listen to the album because it’s readily available at no additional cost, rather than requiring it be actively purchased with money they had no plan on spending?

Because I’m the opposite…I’ve never “bought” a Chris Brown album in my life, but have streamed this new joint cause it costs me nothing to do so
Why would I buy an album I have no intentions of listening to, Especially when its my favorite artist…?

I just haven’t had time to sit and listen to it.

Ice has the worst music takes and 95% of his sleepers are trash. Wale can't see J.Cole, hit wise or performance wise....they don't belong on the same stage together.

The whitest take...J.Cole has better numbers and white journalists on his dikk....Versuz is different

Joe and em need to have an honest convo about Chris Brown lol....there's levels to this

Yeah, if they were expecting him to just crank out 100,000+ automatically, they need to rethink things.

Breh is 17 years in, and put out an album with minimal buzz. Him doing 70,000 is actually really good in this situation.

They live in a bubble, sales wise. Same dudes who thought Fivio had the city on lock, hoes were tuning in and he was gonna do big numbers. And when it didn't happen they pretended like he was some new act whose label had bigger expectations than reality. Nah you guys just can't read a room.

Chris Brown has a fan base but only really does noteworthy numbers with a Drake stimulus. Yet he's still gonna do a big arena tour and sell it out. That's just the reality. The album numbers are whatever compared to being able to gross millions on tour at this stage of his career.

Breh is closer to a legacy act than not at this point. The people who sell just under 100k, or even a hair over 100k to shock you, and may even go gold over a longer period of time. And can still eat off touring. And there's no shame in that. No point in acting like he's Drake status though but that's Joe & em then for you though.
