Im not sure how you're missing the point when there's literally not even physical CDs for sale in 2022 :comeon:

No Sir you are missing the point. I do not even know why you're arguing with me.

I'll reiterate this for the 3rd(and last time). Through physical sales, the transition and streaming era; through all his controversies and "cancellings" Chris Brown has NEVER had a 1st week this low. NEVER. I'm saying this because ppl are equating these numbers to a "blackball" or equating his numbers with new R&B guys.

The 1st week numbers(if accurate)are cause for concern for Chris's team because his fanbase consistently shows up no matter what and a quarter of them did not this time around. That's it. I'm not being controversial here.

I disagree, I think people think "club records" do overwhelming well in Verzuz and they don't always. It's been proven. That's why people thought Fab could beat Kiss, Dips could beat the Lox, Nelly could beat Ludacris or thought 2 Chainz had a chance against Ross, and thought Fat Joe could beat Ja Rule, because they had more "club" and "party" records and they all got their ass kicked.
Well wale had more than club records .

I consist of his fanbase and purchased every album before I had apple music. I’m saying why the fukk would anyone care to buy an album when they already have it through their streaming subscription?

Right, it's not just about what's the bigger club record, it's also the performance of the actual music. There's also other shyt like song match ups but that's besides the point.

But a lot of these songs in Meeks catalog would simply perform better, since they're up tempo mixed with Meeks usual high energy, versus Coles catalog which is mostly a completely different type of music - usually a lot slower, more emotional/soulful. Cole is a good performer, but a lot of his catalog is wave your cellphone light in the air music.

This is why Meek might not have the bigger numbers, but his songs would sound way better next to Cole's in a verzuz. Songs like Power Trip, Workout, No Role Modelz would be embarrassing against Meeks trap shyt like I'mma Boss, Tupac Back and The Intro.

What does this have to do with what I said?? Also album sales include streaming.

That said, the only way I want to see a Wale Verzuz is if he's in a good mood. If Cole were to do one I think Kendrick would be better suited to him than anyone.

Because I haven't streamed the album yet....But I have it.

If I couldn't stream it, I would have bought it = a sale :comeon:

Album sales literally mean nothing nowadays with streaming.

Ice has the worst music takes and 95% of his sleepers are trash. Wale can't see J.Cole, hit wise or performance wise....they don't belong on the same stage together.

So in a world with a no streaming, you would still be out here buying albums you had no intention of actually listening to?…and you believe there’s a significant amount of people out there that would do the same? So significant that it negates the portion of people who listen to the album because it’s readily available at no additional cost, rather than requiring it be actively purchased with money they had no plan on spending?

Because I’m the opposite…I’ve never “bought” a Chris Brown album in my life, but have streamed this new joint cause it costs me nothing to do so

Why do y’all have an issue with Ice music choices in this thread. Y’all want him to listen to Nas and Lupe or play the type of shyt that Parks plays

most of Ice sleepers are mainstream
